In brief: Number 1 in our editorial rating of gas grills is the Broil King Regal 590 (9.4/10). Below it are the 8 highest-rated gas grills from our individual reviews that were available on 21 October 2026.
This list compares eight gas grills from Broil King, Napoleon, Rösle and Weber according to our editorial rating. They range from a two-burner grill with a cabinet to a unit with a display, app and infrared zones. The data comes from manufacturer pages, manuals and retailer information, evaluated in the individual reviews. We have not handled any of the grills ourselves. The rating is therefore an assessment based on comparing data, not a measurement. Below you will find strengths, weaknesses and where to buy for each product.

Broil King Regal 590: Premium 5-burner gas grill
The Broil King Regal 590 is a gas grill with five stainless steel burners (16 kW), a main grate of 80 x 48.8 cm, a 2.7 kW side cooking plate and a 4.4 kW rear burner including a rotisserie with motor. It has no infrared side burner. In our price box it stands at Santos Grills at approx. €1,649 (as of 25 September 2026).
Our assessment: For the Regal 590 you need a spot that can bear 102 kg and is a good 3.1 m wide if there is combustible material to the left and right. You can only use the rotisserie and the grate one after the other. According to our price box, the Crown 590 costs around €680 less; its grate is 4.5 cm less deep in return.
Strengths according to our review:
- Rotisserie set with electric motor and 4.4 kW rear burner included, electric ignition also on the rear burner
- Main grate of 80 x 48.8 cm over five burners, plus a stainless steel warming rack of 81 x 22 cm
- Own spare parts page with exploded diagram, individual parts with part number and price in the Broil King shop
Weaknesses according to our review:
- No infrared side burner: the side cooking plate has 2.7 kW, infrared only comes with the Regal S 590 IR
- While the rear burner runs for the rotisserie, all main burners must be off according to the manual
Editorial rating 9.4/10, buy at Santos Grills. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Broil King Regal 590.
Napoleon Prestige 665 Connected: Gas grill with 5 main burners, infrared rear and side burners
The Napoleon Prestige 665 Connected RSIB is a propane gas grill with five stainless steel main burners, an infrared side burner and an infrared rear burner on a main cooking surface of 94 x 46 cm. Connected here means: a 5-inch display, meat probes with cable, a scale for the gas bottle and the Napoleon Home app. Napoleon does not supply a rotisserie.
Our assessment: The Prestige 665 Connected suits you if you often grill for large groups and can give it a free area of around 2.24 x 1.35 m, including the clearances to combustible material. In our table, only the Broil King Regal 590 has the rotisserie in the box.
Strengths according to our review:
- According to Napoleon, room for 41 burgers on the main cooking surface of 94 x 46 cm; on the Prestige 500 it is 31
- Display with meat probes and grill temperature, plus a scale that shows the fill level of the propane bottle
- Main burners ignite without a battery (JETFIRE), illuminated knobs show running burners in red
Weaknesses according to our review:
- No rotisserie included; you buy the spit and motor for the infrared rear burner separately
- According to the manual, the rear burner and main burners must not run at the same time
Editorial rating 9.3/10, buy at Santos Grills. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Napoleon Prestige 665 Connected.
Rösle Videro G4-S Vario+: 20.5 kW total, 4 main burners + Primezone + side burner
The Rösle VIDERO G4-S is a gas grill station with four 3.5 kW stainless steel burners under a 70 x 45 cm cast iron grate, an infrared Primezone of approx. 800 °C in the left side table and a 3 kW side burner. Through our link you get the black standard version, not the NERO special edition. Price box: approx. €849.
Our assessment: The G4-S suits you if you want to sear steaks separately from the cooking chamber and run a pot on the side burner at the same time. It lacks a rear burner for roasting on the rotisserie, and according to the manual it must not be operated under an awning or combustible overhang. If you mostly grill for more than eight people, take a look at the larger G6-S from Rösle.
Strengths according to our review:
- Three separate heat sources: four main burners with 14 kW in total, an infrared Primezone with 3.5 kW and a side burner with 3.0 kW
- Main grate of 70 x 45 cm in enamelled cast iron with VARIO+ insert, plus a warming rack of 70 x 16 cm
- Gas pressure regulator with integrated hose rupture protection, side tables that fold down via quick-release couplings
Weaknesses according to our review:
- The Primezone sits in the left side table, whose cover must stay open during use: to finish cooking under a closed lid, you move the food to the main grate
- No rear burner for the rotisserie; according to the manual only the G4-SB has one
Editorial rating 9.2/10, buy at Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Rösle Videro G4-S Vario+.
Weber Spirit II E-310: 7.0 kW, 3 burners
Our link leads to the Spirit E-310 (Weber item 1500862), to which Weber redirects the old Spirit II E-310 page: three stainless steel burners with 7.0 kW on 2,314 cm² of main cooking surface, Snap-Jet ignition, no sear zone and no side burner. Guide price according to our price box: approx. €460 (Amazon, as of 2 October 2026).
Our assessment: The E-310 suits you if you regularly cook indirectly and want more than one zone without flame for it, and if 61 cm behind and beside the grill stays free of combustible material. If you almost only grill directly, the Spirit E-210 with two burners is enough; for searing on its own zone, look at the Spirit E-325, which we do not have in the catalogue so far.
Strengths according to our review:
- Three individually adjustable burners on 2,314 cm²: for indirect cooking, up to two zones stay without flame
- Snap-Jet ignition in the control knob, each burner ignites on its own
- The cabinet takes gas bottles up to 13 kg if they are no taller than 587 mm and narrow enough
Weaknesses according to our review:
- Neither a side burner nor a sear zone
- 7.0 kW total output, less than the 7.8 kW of the two-burner Spirit E-210
Editorial rating 9.2/10, buy at Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Weber Spirit II E-310.
Napoleon Freestyle PRO 365: 15 kW total, 3 burners + Sizzle Zone
The Napoleon Freestyle PRO 365 is a propane gas grill with three stainless steel main burners (12.0 kW) under porcelain-coated cast iron grates and the SIZZLE ZONE infrared side burner (3.0 kW) for searing. It has no rear burner. At Santos Grills approx. €599 (as of September 2026).
Our assessment: The Freestyle PRO 365 suits you if you have room on your terrace or in your garden for a width of 124 cm plus safety clearance and want to sear steaks on their own infrared zone while the main grate is occupied. If you do not need the SIZZLE ZONE, Napoleon lists a recommended retail price €200 lower for the Freestyle 365 without a side burner.
Strengths according to our review:
- SIZZLE ZONE as standard: infrared side burner with 3.0 kW, its own igniter and stainless steel grate
- Three stainless steel main burners with 12.0 kW in total under porcelain-coated WAVE cast iron grates
- Closed cabinet for a gas bottle or accessories, fold-down shelf with tool hooks
Weaknesses according to our review:
- No rear burner; a rotisserie is only available as an accessory kit (recommended retail price €149)
- Maintenance effort: according to the manual, cast iron grates have to be seasoned again and again, even during ongoing use
Editorial rating 9.1/10, buy at Santos Grills. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Napoleon Freestyle PRO 365.
Napoleon Prestige 500: approx. 14 kW main burners + Sizzle Zone + rear burner
The Napoleon Prestige 500 RSIB (P500VRSIBPK-DE) is a propane gas grill with four main burners, a SIZZLE ZONE infrared side burner and an infrared rear burner for the rotisserie. According to Napoleon, the spit is not part of the delivery. At Santos Grills approx. €1,689 (as of October 2026); Napoleon’s recommended retail price is €1,999.
Our assessment: The Prestige 500 suits you if you have room on your terrace or in your garden for a width of 166 cm plus safety clearances and want an infrared searing zone and a rear burner in addition to four main burners, but buy the spit separately (kit 69232, recommended retail price €209). If you have less space, then according to our data comparison the Napoleon Rogue PRO-S 525 has the same burner concept and costs approx. €1,299 in our price box, €390 less.
Strengths according to our review:
- SIZZLE ZONE infrared side burner (4.5 kW with propane) and infrared rear burner (5.0 kW) in addition to four main burners with 14.0 kW in total
- Limited lifetime warranty: lifetime (30 years according to the manual) for, among other things, the lid, cast aluminium parts or stainless steel frame, and stainless steel cooking grates; conditions in the warranty section and in the questions
- JETFIRE 2.0 ignites each main burner individually with a jet of flame; according to Napoleon, cross-lighting clips automatically ignite neighbouring burners if a burner goes out or does not light
Weaknesses according to our review:
- According to the manual, the rear burner does not run together with the main burners, so the rotisserie and main grate can only be used one after the other (our inference)
- Rotisserie not included (product page), kit 69232 costs an extra €209 recommended retail price
Editorial rating 9.1/10, buy at Santos Grills. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Napoleon Prestige 500.
Weber Spirit E-210: 7.8 kW (propane), 2 burners
The Weber Spirit E-210 is a two-burner gas grill with a cabinet and 2,314 cm² of primary cooking surface, at Amazon approx. €389 (page price on 20 October 2026; Weber states €499). Amazon lists it for 2 to 4 people. It suits you if two heat zones are enough and you have little space.
Our assessment: Our assessment: the E-210 suits couples and households of up to four people who get by with two heat zones and have little space. If the space allows a larger grill, we would look at the Spirit II E-310 first.
Strengths according to our review:
- Two individually adjustable burners allow a direct and an indirect zone (Snap-Jet ignition according to the manufacturer)
- According to Weber, Flavorizer Bars catch fat and reduce flare-ups
- Weber gives 10 years against rust-through or burn-through of the cooking chamber, lid and burner tubes (grates and Flavorizer Bars 5 years)
Weaknesses according to our review:
- Two burners give two zones at most; Weber lists neither a side burner nor a sear zone
- Amazon lists 2 to 4 people; for larger groups there is not enough cooking surface (2,894 cm² in total including warming rack)
Editorial rating 8.9/10, buy at Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Weber Spirit E-210.
Weber Spirit E-410: 4 burners, Snap-Jet ignition, cast iron grate
According to our price box, the Weber Spirit E-410 costs approx. €548 and has four stainless steel burners, cast iron grates and 3,438 cm² of total surface (according to Weber). Weber lists neither a sear zone nor a side burner; the gas bottle and cover come on top of the price.
Our assessment: Our assessment: if you value Weber as a manufacturer, you get four burners and cast iron grates; Weber does not state how long spare parts remain available. The gas bottle and cover come on top of the price. You will find cheaper gas grills in the overview Gas grills compared.
Strengths according to our review:
- Four individually adjustable burners: a direct and an indirect zone are possible at the same time
- Snap-Jet ignition: each burner individually, with one hand; according to the instructions, no battery for the ignition
- Porcelain-enamelled cast iron grates; clean only with a stainless steel brush, not in the dishwasher (according to the instructions)
Weaknesses according to our review:
- Gas bottle not included, and Weber does not list a cover there either: both come on top of the grill price
- Weber lists neither a sear zone nor a side burner for the E-410
Editorial rating 8.9/10, buy at Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Weber Spirit E-410.
Buying guide: gas grill
How much cooking surface do you need?
The Weber Spirit E-210 has 2,314 cm² of primary cooking surface, and Amazon lists it for 2 to 4 people. The Weber Spirit II E-310 has the same 2,314 cm² of main grate with three burners. More burners there therefore mean more zones, not more surface. According to Weber, the Weber Spirit E-410 reaches 3,438 cm² of total surface, and Amazon lists it for 3 to 6 people.
For the larger grills, it is best to compare width times depth: Rösle Videro G4-S Vario+ 70 x 45 cm, Broil King Regal 590 80 x 48.8 cm, Napoleon Prestige 500 71 x 46 cm, Napoleon Prestige 665 Connected 94 x 46 cm. According to Napoleon, 31 burgers fit on the main surface of the Prestige 500; on the Prestige 665 it is 41. The manufacturers’ cm² figures sometimes include the warming rack or storage rack and sometimes do not, and for the Regal 590 they contradict the grate dimensions.
Which heat sources do you want?
If main burners are enough for you, the three Weber models come into question. Weber lists neither a side burner nor a sear zone for them. If you want to sear steaks separately from the cooking chamber, an infrared zone helps: the Napoleon Freestyle PRO 365 with the SIZZLE ZONE or the Rösle with the Primezone (approx. 800 °C according to Rösle). With the Primezone, the cover in the side table must stay open during use. According to the Napoleon manual, the ceramic of the SIZZLE ZONE tolerates neither water nor a wire brush.
The Rösle also has a 3.0 kW side burner as a gas hob, and the Regal 590 a 2.7 kW side cooking plate without infrared. A kilowatt figure alone says little, because a larger grate needs more output. So compare it only together with the surface.
On the rotisserie: on this list, only the Regal 590 has the spit in the box. The Prestige 500 and Prestige 665 Connected have an infrared rear burner, and you buy the spit separately. The Freestyle PRO 365 and the Rösle have no rear burner. Where a rear burner runs, the main burners must not run at the same time according to the manual.
Where should the grill stand?
Plan the unit and the clearance together. For the Weber Spirit II E-310, it is 117 x 123 x 67.5 cm (H x W x D), plus, according to the manual, 61 cm free of combustible material behind and beside the grill. The Prestige 500 is 166 cm wide, the Prestige 665 Connected 188 cm. The Regal 590 weighs 102.0 kg according to the manufacturer, the Weber E-310 44.5 kg.
According to the instructions, the Regal 590 may only be operated outdoors; it is not permitted in enclosed spaces. The instructions require 76 cm clearance to combustible material, also in front of large glass doors and window panes, and it does not belong under a combustible roof. Further safety rules are in the review. According to the manual, the Rösle must not be run under an awning or combustible overhang either. The instructions for the Weber E-210 and the Regal 590 do not mention balconies. Whether you may grill there, you clarify with your landlord or property management.
Which gas and which bottle?
In Germany, the Regal 590 runs on propane at 50 mbar, and the Prestige 665 Connected also on propane. For the Weber Spirit E-210 and E-410, the manual additionally lists butane; the Rösle names butane or propane. The gas bottle is not part of the delivery for the Weber models, and none is included with the Regal 590 either. Check before you buy what fits in the cabinet: on the Rösle it is a maximum height of 570 mm, and on the Prestige 500 and Prestige 665 Connected 310 mm width or diameter and 590 mm height. For the Freestyle PRO 365, the manual prints no dimensions.
Do you need smart features?
On this list, only the Prestige 665 Connected offers them: a 5-inch display, meat probes with cable, a scale for the gas bottle and the Napoleon Home app. The app requires an account and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. According to the review, you can also grill without it.
How this list came about
We have not handled any of these products ourselves. The basis is our individual reviews, which rely on manufacturer information, operating instructions and retailer pages; where we make our own assessment, that is noted there. The rating is our editorial rating based on build quality, performance, handling and value for money, as described in the rating methodology.
Only gas grills whose review we have newly revised and which were available from at least one of our shops on 21 October 2026 make it onto this list. Of these, we show the 8 with the highest overall rating, in this order. We earn a commission on purchases made through our links, which differs in amount depending on the shop; this has no influence on the order.
