Weber Spirit II E-310

★★★★★4.6 · Editorial score7.0 kW, 3 burners
✓ Editorially checkedRated by Seydhan Cakmak (Founder and editor in chief) · 30 June 2026

The E-310 suits you if you regularly cook indirectly and want more than one zone without a flame, and if 61 cm behind and beside the grill can be kept free of anything combustible. If you grill almost only directly, the two-burner Spirit E-210 is enough; for searing on a dedicated zone, look at the Spirit E-325, which we do not yet have in the catalogue.

Spirit II E-310 or Spirit E-310?

Weber Germany no longer has a Spirit II E-310 in its range. On 1 October 2026, the old product address of the Spirit II E-310 GBS (item 45010179) redirected to the Spirit E-310 with the number 1500862, which Weber there calls the new Spirit E-310. The same appliance is behind our Amazon link: Amazon’s catalogue lists the ASIN B0DWNDG1NV as the Weber Spirit E-310 gas grill, model 1500862, with a catalogue listing date of 20 May 2025. This is the model we cover here. We have neither described nor used technical data of the older Spirit II for comparison.

In the questions and answers on its product page, Weber positions the Spirit range as entry-level, affordable and compact. In the German shop that day there were seventeen Spirit models, including exactly one E-310, in black only. In our gas grill category, it belongs to the carts with three burners.

As a guide price, the E-310 appears in our price box at approx. €460 (Amazon, as of 2 October 2026). Weber itself charged €549.00 including VAT in its own shop on 1 October 2026. The link shows you the current Amazon price.

We have not had the grill in our hands and have not cooked anything on it. Our sources are Weber’s product page, Amazon’s catalogue and the German user manual 8654337, which covers twelve Spirit models together. Features that the manual assigns only to selected models and that are missing on the E-310 product page, such as a digital temperature display, we leave out.

Burners, grates, dimensions

Under the lid are three stainless steel burners with a combined 7.0 kW, each with its own control knob. The cooking box is made of cast aluminium, the cooking grates of porcelain-enamelled cast iron, the Flavorizer Bars of stainless steel.

Weber gives the main cooking area as 2,314 cm² and the warming rack as 580 cm², which together make 2,894 cm². The edge lengths of the grate appear in no Weber source, and they cannot be back-calculated from the outer dimensions because the side tables are included in those. Amazon’s product text describes the warming rack as a shelf for keeping food warm, toasting bread rolls or smaller items to grill.

Ignition is by the Snap-Jet ignition in the control knob. According to the manual, each knob produces a spark from the ignition electrode to the burner ignition tube, and the energy for it comes from you: push the knob in for two seconds, turn it anticlockwise to Start/High until it clicks audibly, then keep it pressed for another two seconds. Each burner is lit individually, from left to right. The lid stays open while doing so, and you do not lean over the open grill either when lighting or when grilling; both are given as warnings in the manual.

There is a thermometer in the lid, shown as a dial gauge in the product image. On the left and right, the cart has a side table each made of hammertone-painted metal, scratch-resistant according to Weber, plus four tool hooks for tongs and spatula. Below is a cabinet with a door for the gas cylinder and accessories. For the grease, the grill has an angled, removable grease tray and a catch pan.

With the lid closed, the E-310 is 117 cm high, 123 cm wide and 67.5 cm deep according to Weber, with the lid open 154 cm high and 78.5 cm deep. It weighs 44.5 kg and rolls on two all-weather wheels. In the product image both are on the right-hand side, while the left stands on feet.

In detail: three burners on the area of the two-burner model

According to Weber, the Spirit E-210 and the E-310 have the same main cooking area, the same warming rack and, with the lid closed, the same outer dimensions. What differs is what burns under the grate: the E-210 has two burners with 7.8 kW, the E-310 three with 7.0 kW. Both values also appear in the manual’s consumption table, for propane at 50 mbar.

Spread over the main cooking area, that works out arithmetically to 3.4 watts per square centimetre for the E-210 and 3.0 for the E-310. The Spirit E-410 comes to 3.0 as well with four burners, 8.21 kW and 2,761 cm², and the Spirit E-325 with 9.09 kW on the same area as the E-310 to 3.9. These values describe how much gas burns at full setting. How hot the grate gets cannot be read directly from them, because the lid and the outside temperature play a part.

So the third burner does not give the E-310 extra output but a third zone. Each knob has the positions Off, Start/High, Medium and Low. According to the manual, all burners should run when preheating; when grilling that is not necessary. For indirect cooking, the food sits over a switched-off burner and cooks in the hot air under the closed lid; our guide on direct and indirect heat explains the principle. A two-burner grill divides into a hot and a cold half for this. On the E-310 you can switch off the middle burner and let the two outer ones run, or you light only one outer burner and have two zones without a flame beneath them.

Under the burners sits a heat reflector which, in Weber’s description, distributes the heat evenly in the cooking box. Between burners and grate lie the Flavorizer Bars. They catch dripping meat juices and let them vaporise; what does not vaporise, they lead away from the burners. According to Weber, this prevents flare-ups and protects the burners from clogging.

The E-310 has no dedicated zone for searing, and the Sear knob position from the manual applies only to models with a Sear Zone. On the Spirit E-325 these are two Boost burners which, according to Weber, produce up to 40 percent more output in the Sear Zone.

To preheat, you turn all knobs to Start/High and close the lid; after 10 to 15 minutes the lid thermometer should show 260 °C. According to the manual, preheating has three purposes: food does not stick to the grate, the grate gets hot enough for searing, and residues from the last grilling burn off. Because the thermometer sits in the lid, it measures the air in the upper part of the cooking box and not the surface of the grate.

Does your gas cylinder fit in the cabinet?

Yes, if it holds at most 13 kg, is at most 587 mm tall and, with a square footprint, at most 289 mm wide, or with a round one at most 318 mm. Its base must fit in the holder and rest flat on the floor. Otherwise you place it behind the grill.

The manual shows six cylinders approved for the cabinet: 5 kg (282 × 287 mm), 5.2 kg (318 × 320 mm), 6 kg (283 × 339 mm), 8 kg (298 × 456 mm), 10 kg (305 × 587 mm) and 13 kg (315 × 580 mm). We read the figures as width by height, because the 587 mm exactly matches the height limit. An 11 kg cylinder is not among them. So whether yours fits is decided with a folding rule and not by fill weight. According to the manual, the lower limit is 3 kg. What to look for when buying a cylinder is in our guide gas bottle for the grill.

If the cylinder does not fit, you neither place it in the cabinet nor connect it there. It goes outside on the floor behind the grill, with the valve opening facing the grill front, and you route the regulator hose through the opening in the back of the cabinet. Weber is explicit about the reason: “Failure to follow this instruction can cause damage to the hose, which can lead to a fire or an explosion and result in serious or even fatal injuries as well as property damage.”

For Germany and Austria, the manual gives gas category I3B/P at 50 mbar. For the 310 models at full output, the consumption table lists 494 g of propane per hour, with butane 601 g and 8.4 kW. Arithmetically, a full 5 kg propane cylinder therefore lasts a good ten hours if all three burners run continuously at Start/High, and preheating alone uses 82 to 124 g. If you mostly grill on medium or low, a single fill lasts longer.

Accessories, warranty, spare parts

Weber lists the E-310 as compatible with the Weber Crafted Outdoor Kitchen Collection. The entry point is the frame starter kit 7688, €49.99 as of 1 October 2026, which replaces your right-hand grate and without which no Crafted insert fits; Weber calls it suitable for all Spirit gas grills made from 2016 onwards. On the E-310 page that same day there were four inserts: a plancha, a glazed pizza stone and the double-sided Sear Grate at €99.99 each, plus a wok and steamer at €109.99. Frame plus insert thus cost just under €150, with the wok just under €160. We do not see the Sear Grate as a replacement for a Sear Zone: it is a grate insert and changes nothing about the burner output beneath it.

On the sides are Weber Works rails with snap-on mounting. You click on Snap-On accessories that Weber sells separately, for example a cylinder holder, additional tool hooks or flexible lights.

The warranty is voluntary and free of charge, and its periods depend on the component. Ten years against rust-through or burn-through apply to the cooking box, the lid component and the stainless steel burner tubes; for paint adhesion of the cooking box and lid it is two years, with fading or discolouration excluded. Five years apply to stainless steel cooking grates and to stainless steel Flavorizer Bars, and likewise five years against rust-through or burn-through for porcelain-enamelled cast iron cooking grates, as fitted in the E-310. All other parts have two years. The statutory warranty rights, in the EU for example two years from handover, are not restricted in any way by the warranty according to the manual.

For spare parts, Weber refers you to the local dealer and to weber.com. Before repairing gas-carrying or gas-burning parts, ignition components or structural components, you inform yourself about the work with Weber customer service, as the manual requires. Parts that are not original Weber parts void the warranty.

What else comes into question?

Model The difference Price Our rating Choose this one if
Weber Spirit E-310 (this one) 3 burners with 7.0 kW over 2,314 cm², 44.5 kg approx. €460 9.2 you want to cook roasts over the switched-off middle burner and have a flame on both left and right
Weber Spirit E-210 same cooking area, 2 burners with 7.8 kW approx. €389 8.9 one half with a flame and one without is enough for you
Weber Spirit E-410 4 burners, 8.21 kW over 2,761 cm², 9 cm wider approx. €548 8.9 you regularly grill for more people and have the width to spare
Broil King Regal 590 5 main burners with 16 kW over 80 × 48.8 cm, plus side burner and rear burner approx. €1,649 9.4 you often grill for large groups and want to use the side burner and rotisserie

The prices are guide values from our price boxes and were recorded at different times. For the E-410, the gap to the E-310 depends on the source: with us it sits around €88 above the E-310 (approx. €548 against approx. €460), whereas in the Weber shop it cost €649.00 on 1 October 2026, so €100 more than the E-310 there. The technical details for the three Weber grills come from weber.com, those for the Broil King from broilking.de. Our rating is an editorial assessment from the data comparison, not a measured result.

When the E-310 suits and when another grill does

First, the space. According to the manual, you use the grill “only outdoors in a well-ventilated area” and “NOT in garages, buildings, covered walkways, tents, other enclosed areas or under combustible structures”. During operation, combustible materials must stay at least 61 cm from the back and side panels, and no flammable gases and liquids (e.g. petrol, alcohol etc.) or other combustible materials may be present in the grilling area. If you add 61 cm on the left, right and rear to Weber’s dimensions, you need a zone 245 cm wide and, measured with the lid open, 139.5 cm deep in which nothing combustible stands.

Weber says nothing about balconies, neither on the product page nor in the manual. Whether gas is allowed there is governed by your tenancy agreement and house rules; our guide grilling on a balcony summarises what typically matters. If an awning hangs over your balcony or a bamboo or plastic privacy screen stands at the side, then by our reading you will hardly manage to get the free zone.

The number of people comes not from Weber but from Amazon’s product text: smaller groups of 2 to 5 people, for the E-410 3 to 6.

For sausages and burgers at one heat, we would not pay for a third zone. According to Weber, the E-210 weighs 41.0 kg, 3.5 kg less than the E-310, and in our price box sits €71 below. The €71 is worthwhile as soon as you regularly cook whole chickens or roasts indirectly.

The Spirit E-325 cost €599.00 at Weber on 1 October 2026, €50 above the Weber price of the E-310, and in addition to its Boost burners has Crafted grates from the factory and two folding side tables. It is not yet in our catalogue. If you retrofit the frame starter kit and Sear Grate on the E-310, you pay €698.98 together at Weber, around €100 more than for the E-325.

You get more area with the E-410: 447 cm² additional, almost a fifth more, at 132 instead of 123 cm width and 46.5 kg weight.

If you want to heat a pot alongside the food on the grill, the Enders Monroe Pro 3 SIK Turbo from our catalogue would be an option, at approx. €529 in our price box, around €70 above the E-310. We know its values only from Amazon’s catalogue: a cooker in the side shelf and a Turbo zone with 4.2 kW for up to 800 °C.

The Broil King Regal 590 has the highest rating in our category and sits around €1,190 above the E-310 in our price box. Broil King gives it 4,032 cm² of main cooking area, a good 1.7 times that of the E-310. In our view, the gap is only justified if you regularly fill that area.

For the budget: on top of the approx. €460 from our price box come a gas cylinder with its fill and the cover 7182, at Weber on 1 October 2026 for €99.99.

For two plans, the E-310 is ruled out according to the manual. For a built-in outdoor kitchen: Weber prohibits installing this model in a built-in or slide-in construction. And for travelling: it is not suitable for installation in or on caravans or boats, and you must not use it in a vehicle, not even in the boot or on the load bed.

What Weber does not state

These points are missing on Weber’s product page and in the manual, and we have not replaced them with estimates:

  • Edge lengths of the main grate and the interior height under the lid
  • the spacing of the burners from each other and from the grate, and the output per burner
  • a maximum temperature and heat-up times apart from the 260 °C figure
  • the gas consumption on medium and low settings
  • the material of the lid, cabinet, frame, heat reflector and grease tray
  • whether pressure regulator and hose for Germany are in the carton and what outlet pressure the regulator has; the manual says only that the grill is equipped with a pressure regulator
  • whether tools for assembly are included
  • casters or a parking brake, and whether the side tables can be folded
  • rotisserie and app connection
  • a spare parts list with prices for the E-310 in the German Weber shop
  • the country of manufacture; the manual states only design and construction by Weber-Stephen Products LLC in Palatine, Illinois
  • an official market launch date
  • a number of people, a statement on balconies and a minimum clearance above
  • technical data of the predecessor Spirit II E-310

Amazon’s catalogue differs from Weber on dimensions and weight, converted roughly 53.5 × 82.5 × 65.5 cm and 47.0 kg. Whether these are packaging values is not stated there. We stick to Weber’s figures.

Gas, grease, cleaning: what the manual prescribes

If you smell gas, the sequence from the hazard notice on the first page of the manual applies: shut off the gas supply to the grill, extinguish all open flames, open the lid. If the smell persists, move away from the grill and contact your gas supplier or the fire brigade immediately. In the event of a grease fire, you switch off all burners immediately and keep the lid closed until the fire has gone out.

Weber requires a leak check as soon as the cylinder is connected, and afterwards every time a gas cylinder is refilled and refitted. Three connections are part of it: regulator to gas cylinder, gas hose to manifold, manifold to corrugated gas line. The manual mixes the soap solution from 20 percent liquid soap and 80 percent water; it goes onto the connections by spray bottle, brush or cloth, then the gas supply is opened. Bubbles mean a leak: shut off the gas supply, do not put the grill into operation, contact customer service. Without bubbles the check is complete, and after disconnecting the gas supply the connections are rinsed with water, because some test solutions are slightly corrosive, soap solution included. During the check, no open flames or sparks may occur nearby.

The grill is left unattended neither during preheating nor during grilling, and it is not moved while in use. The manual requires heat-resistant grill gloves with a contact heat resistance of level 2 or higher according to DIN EN 407 (a standard that applies in Germany and the EU). Electrical cables and the gas hose belong away from heated surfaces, children away from the grill, because accessible parts can be very hot. The grill is not suitable for charcoal, briquettes or lava stones.

Before each use you check the removable grease tray and the catch pan for grease residues; excessive build-up must be removed so that no grease fire starts. The manual prohibits aluminium foil in the tray or cooking box under the Danger level. Take care when removing the catch pan and when disposing of hot grease.

It is cleaned thoroughly at least twice a year, with continuous use possibly every quarter, always from top to bottom and only when the grill is off and fully cooled down. If temperatures stay low, heat distributes unevenly or food sticks to the grate, that is a sign of maintenance being needed. Weber explains the paint-like flakes on the inside of the lid as non-toxic carbon deposits from vaporised grease and smoke; without regular cleaning they can fall onto the food, and a stainless steel grill brush loosens them. For Flavorizer Bars and heat reflector, the manual provides a plastic scraper, likewise for the residues in the cooking box that reach the grease tray via the grease funnel in the base. The burner openings are brushed from the outside without damaging the ignition electrode, the insect screens on the underside of the control panel with a soft brush. Two prohibitions are given as a warning in the manual: no brush on the burners that was previously used to clean the grates, and no pointed objects in the burner openings. At the end, the heat reflector must sit correctly again.

The screens prevent spiders or insects from spinning webs or building nests in the venturi area of the burners. Gas odour together with yellow, weak flames points to such a blockage, and it can cause a fire in and around the gas valve. Correctly set, the flames have a yellow tip and pass through bright blue to dark blue.

Weber lists as unsuitable abrasive stainless steel polishes or paints, acidic cleaning agents, white spirit or xylenes, oven cleaner, abrasive cleaning agents (kitchen scourers) and abrasive cleaning pads. For stainless steel, the manual recommends a pollutant-free, non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner or a polish for outdoor products and grills, applied with a microfibre cloth in the direction of the grain, not with kitchen paper. Painted and porcelain-enamelled surfaces as well as plastic parts need warm soapy water and kitchen paper or a cloth: wipe, rinse, dry. Weber rules out a strong jet of water from a garden hose or pressure washer; the manual, which covers twelve models together, justifies this with electronic components that could be damaged.

If the grill is exposed to a particularly harsh environment, according to the manual you must clean the outside more often, because acid rain, swimming pool chemicals and salt water can lead to rust formation. In coastal regions and near a swimming pool, regular cleaning and rinsing of the outer surface is part of the maintenance that Weber requires for the warranty. Although Weber calls the side tables scratch-resistant, the manual says no grill components should be placed on them, because they can scratch painted or stainless steel surfaces.

If you find loose bristles on the grate or in the brush, the grill brush should be replaced; Weber recommends buying a new one with stainless steel bristles at the start of every grilling season anyway.

To switch off, the knobs are pushed in and turned clockwise to Off, after which the gas supply at the cylinder is disconnected. Liquid gas cylinders belong outdoors and out of reach of children, not in buildings, garages or other enclosed spaces, and never where the temperature can reach 50 °C. A spare cylinder must never be stored under or near the grill. The grill may only be stored indoors if the gas cylinder is disconnected and removed, and after longer storage or longer non-use you check it for gas leaks and a blocked burner before use.

Verdict

The E-310 suits you if you regularly cook indirectly and want more than one zone without a flame, and if 61 cm behind and beside the grill can be kept free of anything combustible. If you grill almost only directly, the two-burner Spirit E-210 is enough; for searing on a dedicated zone, look at the Spirit E-325, which we do not yet have in the catalogue.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Weber Spirit II E-310

Short, clear answers about buying, using and caring for Weber Spirit II E-310.

Is the E-310 also available in Austria and Switzerland?

Yes. The Austrian Weber shop lists it under the same item number 1500862 as the German one, at €549.00 on 1 October 2026. In Switzerland it carries the number 1500870 and cost CHF 649.00, with the same technical values. If you buy across the border, note a caution in the manual: the product is certified for use in one specific country only, and the country marking is on the outside of the carton.

Can the E-310 be converted to natural gas?

No. According to Weber, the grills for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region are not suitable for conversion to natural gas. The manual adds: the appliance must not be modified, liquid propane gas is not natural gas, and converting to natural gas or attempting to use it is not safe and voids the warranty claims. You must also not alter parts sealed by the manufacturer.

Which cover fits the E-310?

The Premium cover 7182, which Weber lists as an addition to the E-310. It is made of 100 percent polyester and, according to Weber, fits Spirit gas grills with two and three burners made from 2025 onwards. You may only put it on once the grill is no longer hot: according to the manual, the cover and combustible materials do not belong on the grill or in the storage space beneath it while it is in operation or still hot.

Does the warranty also apply to a grill bought second hand?

No, as far as the law allows. The voluntary Weber warranty applies only to the original purchaser and does not pass to subsequent owners, except in the case of a gift or a promotion. It also applies only to individual private households, not to grills used commercially, at municipal level or in multi-family buildings, for example by restaurants, hotels, resorts or in rental properties. You do not have to register the grill, but Weber considers it advantageous. Keep the original proof of purchase; the exclusions are listed on page 2 of the manual.

What do I do if a burner does not light?

If it does not light within four seconds, you turn the knob to Off, wait five minutes for the escaped gas to disperse, and try again. If that does not help, you hold a lit long lighter through the grates, past the Flavorizer Bars, to the burner. If it lights that way, the manual says customer service should check the ignition system; if it does not light even then, you disconnect the gas cylinder and reconnect it. The serial number for service is on the rating plate.

How often does the gas hose need replacing?

Weber recommends every five years; if national rules require a shorter period, those apply. The hose may be at most 1.50 metres long and must not be kinked. Replacement regulators and hoses must be original Weber-Stephen parts and are supplied through customer service. In between, you check it regularly for cracks, porous spots and cuts with the grill switched off and cooled down. If it is damaged, the grill must not be used.

Can the grates and Flavorizer Bars go in the dishwasher?

No. According to the manual, Flavorizer Bars and cooking grates must not be cleaned in the sink, in the dishwasher or in a self-cleaning oven. The grates are brushed with a stainless steel grill brush while installed and only then removed. For the Flavorizer Bars you put on grill gloves, because their surface can become rough over time. Weber's short formula for the routine: brush the grates, scrape the Flavorizer Bars, clean the burner connections, wipe the lid.

How is the grill delivered, and how long does assembly take?

In the Weber shop, shipping was free on 1 October 2026. According to the shop, Weber delivers grills over 31.5 kg by freight carrier in roughly one to two weeks, and the E-310 is above that limit. For assembly, Weber allows one to two hours, depending on model and equipment; the instructions are included. According to the manual, you may only use the grill once all parts are in place and it has been assembled according to the assembly instructions.
