Our mission
The grill market is large and confusing, and prices vary considerably by shop and season. That is exactly where we start. We make the choice tangible, compare prices transparently and provide clear explanations so you can make an informed decision.
We stay neutral while doing so. We do not sell grills ourselves and are not committed to any single shop or brand. So you can rely on our recommendations being based on traceable criteria and not on the biggest advertising budget.
How we work
Behind every page is a clear, recurring process. It keeps our content consistent, honest and current. These four steps form the core of our work.
1. Research and catalogue
We maintain a curated catalogue of popular gas grills, charcoal grills, pellet grills, kettle grills and smokers. For each model we record features, cooking area, output and construction. This information is based on manufacturer data and generally accessible, documented information about the product.
2. Bundling prices
For each grill we give a guide price and link the offer at the retailer, mostly Amazon. For some models we also list Santos Grills or Burnhard; there the lower price comes first. Prices are guide values with a date and can change at any time; the price on the retailer's page is the binding one. Prices on this site are in euros from Amazon.de and may differ in your country.
3. Editorial preparation
We rate and describe every grill on build quality, handling, performance and value for money, factually and without exaggeration. We invent no lab results and no customer reviews. Where figures are estimates, we say so clearly, for example with guide prices.
4. Updates and checks
The catalogue and the guides are continuously extended and revised. New models are added, texts are improved and links and prices are checked. That keeps the offering reliable and useful over time.
Transparency and independence
We are funded through affiliate links. If you buy a product through one of our links, we may receive a small commission. For you the price stays identical; there are no extra costs.
This commission influences neither the selection of grills nor their rating or order. Recommendations are based on features, build quality, intended use and value for money, not on remuneration. Who is behind TopGrillReviews
TopGrillReviews is operated by Cakmak Digital, Seydhan Cakmak, an independent online project based in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Germany. There is no large corporation behind the site, just the idea of making a confusing market simpler for grill fans.
Seydhan Cakmak is Founder and editor in chief of TopGrillReviews and is responsible for the selection, rating and upkeep of all comparison reports, from gas grills through smokers and kamados to pizza ovens. Every product page carries his byline; the basis for ratings is the documented rating methodology with four criteria (build quality, performance, handling, value for money). The editorial team accepts corrections and feedback at any time via the contact page (in German).
