Overview: Two burners with a cabinet

The Weber Spirit E-210 is a gas grill on a trolley with two stainless steel burners. Weber lists it under article number 1500833, in Germany only in black. Amazon gives the market launch as 20 May 2025. On Amazon the price was €389.00 on 20 October 2026, while the German Weber page lists €499.

In the product photo you can see a lid thermometer, two control knobs in the front panel, two side tables, a closed cabinet with a door and two wheels. No further knobs, for example for a side burner, are visible. Weber places the unit in the Spirit series, which weber.com/DE lists with 17 models. The Amazon description targets groups of 2 to 4 people.

We have not handled the grill. The details below come from the Weber product page, from the German manual (a multi-model manual for Spirit 210 to EP-445R, 2025 edition) and from the Amazon catalogue. Anything that sounds like a rating is our assessment and is marked as such.

Burners, gas and output

Weber gives 7.8 kW for the main burners on propane. The manual adds the consumption at full output: 548 grams of propane per hour. The grill is built for gas category I3B/P at 50 mbar, as the manual states for Germany and Austria. The main burner nozzles on the two-burner models have a 0.90 mm opening. In general, nozzle diameter depends on gas type and pressure, which is why such values are listed by country in the table.

More burners do not automatically mean more total output at Weber: for the 410 models the same manual gives 8.2 kW, for the 210 models 7.8 kW. Per burner that is around 3.9 kW against around 2.1 kW (our division, which assumes burners of equal strength).

The grill runs on liquid gas from a cylinder. The manual permits cylinders from at least 3 kg up to 13 kg. On the pressure regulator it says only that the gas grill is fitted with a pressure regulator.

Ignition is by Snap-Jet ignition, each burner individually, with one hand. A built-in thermometer sits in the lid. It shows the air temperature under the lid, not at the grate.

Is 2314 cm² enough for four people?

For two people yes, for four with limits. Weber gives no number of people, Amazon says 2 to 4. According to Weber the primary cooking area is 2314 cm², plus 580 cm² of warming rack, together 2894 cm².

The limit: Weber does not work out how many steaks or sausages fit on this area, and neither do we. Grate dimensions are missing, and edge lengths cannot be derived from the housing dimensions, because the 123 cm width includes the side tables. Added to that is our assessment on the zone question further below: if you want to feed four people in one go and also keep half of the grate free for indirect heat, you quickly reach the limit.

With the lid closed, the grill measures 117 cm in height, 123 cm in width and 67.5 cm in depth. With the lid open it is 154 cm high and 78.5 cm deep. Weber gives the weight as 41 kg.

The cooking box is made of cast aluminium, the grates of porcelain-enamelled cast iron, the Flavorizer Bars of stainless steel (according to the manual). Aluminium does not rust like steel; the warranty on this is further below.

The equipment includes two all-weather wheels, four utensil hooks and two side tables. Weber describes fixed side tables, Amazon calls them scratch-resistant. In the photo the wheels sit on one side only, with fixed feet opposite. To move it you therefore have to tilt the grill, at 41 kg.

In detail: Zones, Flavorizer Bars and enamelled cast iron

Two burners give two separately adjustable zones at most. For indirect cooking you switch one burner off and place the food over the cold part of the grate, leaving the other burner running. In the photo two knobs can be seen side by side; neither the photo nor the data sheet shows how the burners are positioned under the grate. The technique behind direct and indirect heat is explained in the guide Using direct and indirect heat correctly.

Weber describes the Flavorizer Bars like this: they catch juices, boost aroma and reduce flare-ups. The mechanism behind it is physics. Fat that drips onto the hot steel evaporates or burns there instead of falling onto the burners, and the vapours rise to the food. How much this affects flavour, we cannot judge, because we have not grilled anything on it. According to the manual the bars have a 5-year warranty and so sit below the period for the box and burner tubes; our reading: wear parts.

Cast iron stores a lot of heat because of its mass and releases it evenly. In return it takes longer to heat through, and it rusts as soon as the surface is exposed. The enamel seals the iron. It can chip under hard knocks, and where it is missing, rust begins. Weber describes the effect of its grates as even heat. The manufacturer does not state how wide the grate bars are or how thick the cast iron is, so we lack the basis for comparing the heat storage with other grates.

The fat runs into a grease management system with a removable tray. It is the part you must look at before every grilling session (see Care below).

What else is worth considering?

Work with the prices on our site: the E-410 costs approx. €159 more than the E-210, the Monroe Pro 3 approx. €140 more, the E-310 approx. €71 more. The catalogue entry is called Spirit II E-310. We have not checked how this series relates to the Spirit series on weber.com/DE, so do not carry over any data from there to the E-210.

The table is good for a first look, not for a purchase. The prices apply as of the date given and change. Our rating is an editorial assessment from data sheets, not a measurement result.

When the E-210, when another

Start with the number of people. For up to four people the E-210 fits, but without reserve: if you regularly invite three or four guests, in our assessment you should look at three or four burners. That saves you the moment when everything has to be ready at once and the area is missing.

Then the space. A terrace where 123 cm of width and 67.5 cm of depth plus 61 cm clearance to flammable materials (manual) are free is enough. On a balcony, before any technical question, the house rules decide whether gas is allowed at all; the legal situation is summarised in the guide Grilling on a balcony. Where gas is prohibited, another gas model does not help either.

Then the zones. Two burners are enough for two heat areas, but not for three. If you want to sear steaks hard and cook gently next to them while a pot sits on a side burner, you will find neither a side burner nor a sear zone on the E-210; they are not listed. In that case it is worth a look at our gas grills compared.

And the budget. On top of approx. €389 come the gas cylinder and cover, neither included in the price. The E-310 is approx. €71 more expensive on our site and has the better rating, from the same brand. If your space allows a bigger grill and the budget stretches, we would look at it first. The E-210 wins when floor space is the bottleneck and you need exactly two burners.

Gas cylinder, accessories and warranty

After every cylinder change you check the connections for tightness. The manual gives a soap solution of 20 % liquid soap and 80 % water for this, which you apply to the connections. If bubbles form, the connection is leaking. No open flame may be nearby, you do not operate the grill if there is a leak, and you rinse the solution off with water afterwards. You never store a spare cylinder under or near the grill. And you never fill a cylinder above 80 %. On where to keep cylinders, the manual says: outdoors and out of reach of children, not in buildings, garages or enclosed spaces.

As accessories, the manufacturer’s page lists Weber Works side rails for snap-on accessories, available separately, and a premium cover. Weber calls the grill compatible with the Weber Crafted Outdoor Kitchen Collection. The retrieved text does not assign the fit of the cover to any model, so only buy it if the seller states the model.

The warranty is voluntary and free of charge, applies only to first buyers and only to use by individual private households. The duration depends on the part, in each case for rust-through or burn-through:

  • Cooking box and lid: 10 years (2 years on paint adhesion, paint fading or discolouration excluded)
  • Stainless steel burner tubes: 10 years
  • Porcelain-enamelled cast iron cooking grates: 5 years
  • Stainless steel Flavorizer Bars: 5 years
  • All other parts: 2 years

According to Weber, the two-year statutory warranty in the EU remains in place alongside this.

What Weber does not state: an assembly time, a maximum temperature, the accuracy of the thermometer, grate dimensions, a burn time per cylinder, any obligation to register the warranty, the country of manufacture.

Setting up, lighting, cleaning

The manual requires the grill to be used “only outdoors in a well-ventilated area”. Flammable materials must stay at least 61 cm from the rear wall or side panels while the grill is in use. You never leave the grill unattended while preheating or grilling, you do not move it during use and you keep children away. Weber requires grill gloves of level 2 or higher according to DIN EN 407 (a standard that applies in Germany and the EU).

If you smell gas, you shut off the gas supply, extinguish all open flames and open the lid. If the smell persists, you move away from the grill and contact the gas supplier or the fire brigade. In the event of a grease fire you switch off all burners immediately and keep the lid closed until the fire has gone out.

To light it: open the lid, all knobs to OFF, then open the gas cylinder, then light the burners one by one from left to right. To preheat, you close the lid and set all burners to Start or High for 10 to 15 minutes, until the thermometer shows 260 °C.

Cleaning has fixed limits. You do not line the grease tray or the cooking box with aluminium foil. You check the tray for grease residue before every use. You do not clean Flavorizer Bars and grates in the sink, in the dishwasher or in a self-cleaning oven. The grill should be cleaned thoroughly at least twice a year, in continuous use possibly quarterly.

Who is it for?

For anyone looking for a compact gas unit for a terrace or garden who can manage with two zones. If you are flirting with charcoal, you have the wrong grill: the manual says the grill is not suitable for charcoal, briquettes or lava rocks. Campers should also look elsewhere, as the manual excludes caravans and boats. Unsure which size suits you? The Grill Finder narrows it down. If you are still weighing gas against charcoal, the guide Gas or charcoal grill has the calculation, and on the cylinder itself, Gas cylinder for the grill explains what fits which size.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Weber Spirit E-210

Short, clear answers about buying, using and caring for Weber Spirit E-210.

Does the Spirit E-210 also run on butane?

Besides propane, the manual also lists butane as a gas type: 8.7 kW and 623 g/h consumption for butane, 7.8 kW and 548 g/h for propane. The values apply to gas category I3B/P at 50 mbar. Butane burns with more output at higher hourly consumption, so the cylinder empties faster than the propane figure suggests.

How often does the gas hose need replacing?

Weber recommends replacing the gas hose every five years. It must be no longer than 1.50 m and must not run kinked. If it is damaged, do not keep using the grill. Replacement hoses and regulators must be original parts that you obtain through Weber customer service; the manual does not say how long Weber keeps these parts available.

Does the E-210 fit on a balcony?

That depends on depth and house rules. The manual does not mention balconies. With the lid closed, allow 67.5 cm of unit depth plus 61 cm clearance to the rear wall: you need at least 128.5 cm of free depth, and with the lid open (78.5 cm) it is 139.5 cm. Whether gas is allowed on your balcony at all is decided by your tenancy agreement and house rules, not by Weber.

Is the gas cylinder included with the E-210?

No. Weber explicitly lists the gas cylinder as not included, and the Amazon description mentions only the grill. A cylinder in the cabinet can be at most 587 mm high, at most 289 mm wide with a rectangular cross-section, and at most 318 mm with a round one. So you need to measure a 13 kg cylinder before buying, not just choose by weight.

When does the Weber warranty expire?

The warranty expires if parts that are not original Weber parts are used or fitted, or if the grill is modified without authorisation. Weber also counts conversion to natural gas here: liquid propane gas is not natural gas, and a conversion is unsafe and leads to loss of warranty.

What should I do if a burner will not light?

If the first burner does not light within four seconds, turn its control knob to OFF and wait five minutes before trying again. For stubborn cases, the manual refers to lighting with a match in the troubleshooting section; read the exact procedure there.

How do I tell if the burners are blocked?

The burners have stainless steel insect screens that can clog. According to the manual, the sign is a smell of gas together with weak, yellow burner flames. In that case you clean the screens as described in the manual and then check all connections with soap solution. Weber also advises checking for leaks and blocked burners after long storage before you put the grill back into use.

How long does a gas cylinder last?

Weber does not state a burn time. From the consumption of 548 g/h at full output, a guide value at full load and nominal fill is: roughly 23.7 hours (13 kg) or roughly 5.5 hours (3 kg); a remainder stays in the cylinder. This is our calculation from manufacturer figures. In everyday use the grill rarely runs at full power continuously, so the real time is usually longer.

Can I hose down the E-210 with a pressure washer?

No. Weber warns never to spray the grill with a strong jet of water such as from a garden hose or pressure washer, and gives the electronics as the reason. The manual also forbids placing the grill cover or anything else flammable on the grill or in the storage space below while the grill is in use or still hot.
