We have not handled any of them. The order is our editorial score, based on manufacturer information, instructions and Amazon data. The buying guide below helps you find the right type of accessory first and then the product.

Petromax Feuertopf ft6 with feet: 9 kg, 5.5 l pot and 1.5 l lid, 4 to 8 people

Cast iron Dutch oven from Petromax with three feet for embers and campfires: 5.5 l in the pot, plus a 1.5 l lid that doubles as a pan when turned over, 9 kg together, pre-seasoned at the factory. The ft6-t is intended for hob and induction use. At Amazon approx. €75 (as of September 2026).

Our assessment: In our grill accessories category, the ft6 has the highest overall score. In its favour, from our point of view, is that Petromax publishes a table for exactly this pot size showing how many briquettes at which temperature belong on the lid and how many underneath.

Strengths according to our review:

  • Pre-seasoned at the factory (seasoned finish); before first use you only need to rinse and dry it
  • Lid with a high rim holds embers and briquettes for heat from above
  • Detailed dimensions and thorough care instructions with seasoning steps for oven and grill are published

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • For stews, goulash and braised dishes, and for larger groups, Petromax itself recommends 7.5 litres or more (ft9)
  • Stands on three feet and so does not sit flat on any hob; for that there is the ft6-t with a flat base

Editorial score 9.0/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Petromax Feuertopf ft6 with feet.

Anova Precision Cooker Nano 2.0 AN400-EU00: 750 W, Bluetooth BLE 4.2, app control

The Amazon link leads to the Anova Precision Cooker Nano AN400-EU00, not the AN500: according to Anova 750 W, Bluetooth BLE 4.2 instead of Wi-Fi, accurate to ±0.1 °C and adjustable from 0 to 92 °C. Cooking is done indoors in a water bath because the instructions prohibit outdoor use; you finish the crust afterwards in a pan or on the grill.

Our assessment: The Nano suits you if you want to cook indoors in a water bath to the exact degree and the app within Bluetooth range is enough for you; you then finish the crust on the grill or in a pan. If you want to follow the doneness remotely, the cheaper Inkbird ISV-100W connects over Wi-Fi according to Inkbird.

Strengths according to our review:

  • According to Anova accurate to ±0.1 °C, adjustable from 0 to 92 °C
  • According to Anova support, time and temperature can be set on the device at any time; a smartphone is not required
  • Circulation of 8 litres per minute, so the bath does not separate into warm and cool layers

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • Bluetooth BLE 4.2 only, no Wi-Fi: the app reaches the Nano only within radio range, and according to Anova support in cases of strong interference sometimes only about 3 m
  • According to the instructions, not for outdoor use: you cook indoors, and the grill only comes into play for searing

Editorial score 8.9/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Anova Precision Cooker Nano 2.0 AN400-EU00.

Petromax Feuertopf ft12 flat base: 10.8 l pot and 2.0 l lid, flat base, 13.91 kg

Cast iron Dutch oven from Petromax in size 12, without feet: 10.8 l in the pot, a 2.0 l lid that doubles as a pan when turned over, 13.91 kg together. The flat base is intended for hob, grill and induction; for embers and campfires Petromax sells the ft12 with feet. At Amazon approx. €105 (as of September 2026).

Our assessment: The ft12-t is worthwhile if 14 to 20 people regularly eat with you and you can safely lift and set down a pot filled to the brim, weighing around 25 kg (calculated with water).

Strengths according to our review:

  • According to the care instructions, suitable for gas, electric, glass-ceramic and induction hobs
  • Pre-seasoned at the factory (seasoned finish); before first use you only need to rinse and dry it
  • Manufacturer’s briquette table for size 12, top and bottom, for two temperature ranges

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • 13.91 kg even when empty, correspondingly more when full
  • In embers, the flat base sits directly on the charcoal

Editorial score 8.9/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Petromax Feuertopf ft12 flat base.

RAPICCA grill gloves 43 cm: neoprene, 932 °F (500 °C), 17 inches, XL

The RAPICCA grill gloves have a waterproof neoprene coating, a double-layer lining and are 17 inches (43.2 cm) long. RAPICCA states 932 °F (500 °C), but neither a contact time nor a test standard. According to the manufacturer, they are intended for wet and greasy food on the grill. This ASIN comes in size XL, at Amazon approx. €30 (as of September 2026).

Our assessment: In our assessment, the RAPICCA suit anyone who handles wet or greasy food by hand at the smoker, and at approx. €30 they cost half as much as the MOESTA HeatPro. If you want to hold a grate, chimney starter or glowing cast iron for longer, you are better off with a model carrying an EN 407 marking.

Strengths according to our review:

  • 3 inches (7.6 cm) longer than RAPICCA’s 14-inch range, for reaching into deep kettle grills and smokers
  • Waterproof on the outside: meat juices and washing-up water do not reach the lining as long as the coating is intact
  • According to RAPICCA also intended for hot water and the deep fryer; a cold water check beforehand shows whether it is watertight

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • Only size XL under this ASIN; for small hands RAPICCA lists a size M variant as a separate item
  • No evidence of how long the glove withstands a grate, chimney or cast iron; an EN 407 rating is missing

Editorial score 8.9/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the RAPICCA grill gloves 43 cm.

Rösle BBQ Premium 3-piece: 3-piece grill set: tongs, gloves, grate brush

The Rösle BBQ Premium set contains a 44 cm grill tongs made of 18/10 stainless steel, grill gloves made of meta-aramid (EN 407 code 43xxxx according to Rösle’s instructions for the Premium grill gloves of the same name) and the SlideX grate brush with stainless steel bristles. A turner, fork and basting brush are not included. At Amazon approx. €46 (as of September 2026).

Our assessment: Our assessment: the set is worthwhile if you are missing grill gloves and a grate brush and your grate is stainless steel. If you need the brass brush head set from the Rösle shop for an enamelled or chrome-plated grate, you reach around €59 and end up above Weber Precision and Burnhard. If you need a turner and basting brush, or you put grill tools in the dishwasher, take the Weber Precision.

Strengths according to our review:

  • Gloves rated to EN 407 (43xxxx) according to the instructions for the Premium grill gloves, PPE category 2 with type examination by a notified body
  • According to Rösle, the tongs open and close with one hand, lower head with fat drainage slots
  • SlideX brush head fully replaceable, with stainless steel or brass replacements

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • No turner, no fork, no basting brush in the set
  • Rösle recommends steel bristles only for stainless steel grates; for enamelled cast iron and chrome-plated grates, brass, and the brass set costs extra

Editorial score 8.9/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Rösle BBQ Premium 3-piece.

Kona Safe/Clean grill brush: bristle-free, 3 rows of coils

The Kona Safe/Clean cleans with 3 rows of coils instead of wire bristles; according to the manufacturer, there are no bristles that could come loose. It works with steam on the hot grate and is a single piece; a scraper and replacement heads are not mentioned. At Amazon it was approx. €32 on 6 October 2026.

Our assessment: Our assessment: the Kona Safe/Clean suits anyone who does not want wire bristles on the grate and is happy to give it a quick brush with a hot grate and water after every grilling session. If you need to loosen old crusts, or have a small portable grill or thin round stainless steel bars, you are better off looking for another solution.

Strengths according to our review:

  • No individual bristles that can come loose (manufacturer’s statement)
  • The manufacturer explains the method and angle for triangular, round and flat grate bars
  • The manufacturer lists porcelain (enamelled), ceramic, infrared, Weber cast iron and Char-Broil as compatible

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • Single piece: scraper and replacement heads not mentioned; a replacement means buying the whole brush
  • Not recommended for small portable grills and thin round stainless steel grate bars (manufacturer’s page)

Editorial score 8.8/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Kona Safe/Clean grill brush.

Lodge L8SK3 cast iron frying pan Ø 26 cm: Ø 26 cm, pre-seasoned, cast iron

The Lodge L8SK3 is a cast iron pan with a nominal diameter of 26 cm and, according to Lodge, a weight of 2.57 kg, made in the USA and pre-seasoned at the factory. Lodge describes it as suitable for every hob including induction, oven, grill and campfire. At Amazon it costs approx. €39.95 (as of September 2026); it is cared for by hand, and Lodge rules out the dishwasher.

Our assessment: In the table of alternatives on this page, the L8SK3 is the cheapest entry: pre-seasoned, suitable according to Lodge for hob (including induction), oven, grill and campfire, but only to be cared for by hand. If you are looking for a dishwasher-safe pan or a handle with a grip guard, this is the wrong buy.

Strengths according to our review:

  • Pre-seasoned: according to Lodge, no seasoning is needed before first use
  • According to Lodge suitable for every hob including induction, for oven, grill and campfire
  • Made without PFAS; according to Lodge, confirmed by independent laboratories for PFAS, lead and cadmium

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • Hand cleaning only: Lodge requires drying and thin oiling; dishwasher, soaking and microwave void the warranty
  • Cast iron handle without a grip guard; you have to plan hand protection yourself

Editorial score 8.8/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Lodge L8SK3 cast iron frying pan Ø 26 cm.

Rösle Grillzange Premium 44 cm: 44 cm, 18/10 stainless steel, large turning surface

The Rösle Premium barbecue tongs (item no. 250243) are 44 cm long and, according to the data sheet, made of 18/10 stainless steel. Rösle cites a large turning surface, a head with fat drainage slots and a one-handed lock; as single tongs they are dishwasher-safe according to the data sheet. At Amazon they cost approx. €30 on 6 October 2026.

Our assessment: In our comparison, the Rösle Premium is a single pair of tongs for anyone who only wants to replace this one tool: 44 cm long, 18/10 stainless steel, dishwasher-safe, approx. €30. If you also need a turner or fork, a set gives you more pieces for a small extra charge, and for small, portable grills Rösle offers shorter tongs.

Strengths according to our review:

  • 18/10 stainless steel according to the Rösle data sheet, dishwasher-safe as single tongs
  • 44 cm overall length, 9 cm above Rösle’s minimum recommendation of 35 cm for frequently used tongs
  • Large turning surface, a head with fat drainage slots, one-handed lock according to Rösle

Weaknesses according to our review:

  • Only one pair of tongs: the four-piece Burnhard set costs approx. €34.90 at Burnhard, €5 more than these tongs
  • Handle of bare metal without a soft grip (according to the product photo)

Editorial score 8.8/10, purchase route via Amazon. All data, sources and the FAQ are in the individual review of the Rösle Grillzange Premium 44 cm.

Buying guide: Which grill accessories suit you?

Are you cooking over embers, on the hob or indoors?

For pots and pans, this decides the design. The Petromax Feuertopf ft6 stands on three feet. They hold it over the embers, and Petromax publishes a table for this pot size showing how many briquettes belong on the lid and how many underneath. The Petromax Feuertopf ft12, by contrast, has a flat base and, according to the care instructions, is suitable for gas, electric, glass-ceramic and induction hobs. Lodge names the Lodge L8SK3 for every hob, oven, grill and campfire. At the fire, Lodge recommends coals rather than open flame. The Anova Precision Cooker Nano works indoors only, because the instructions prohibit outdoor use. According to Anova it sets 0 to 92 °C, needs a water level of at least 85 mm and is controlled by a button on the device or by the app over Bluetooth. It only comes into play for the grill afterwards: you cook the meat indoors and sear it outside.

How many people are you cooking for, and what can you lift?

The ft6 holds 5.5 litres in the pot; Petromax gives 4 to 8 people as a guide figure and recommends 7.5 litres or more for stews and goulash. The ft12 holds 10.8 litres, with a guide figure of 14 to 20 people. Empty it weighs 13.91 kg. Filled with water, our review calculates around 25 kg. You need to be able to lift and set that down safely. According to Lodge, the Lodge pan weighs 2.57 kg and so weighs considerably less than the two Feuertopf pots. It has a long handle and an assist handle, both cast iron and without a grip guard. You have to plan hand protection yourself.

Which heat protection is documented?

With gloves, it pays to look at the evidence. The RAPICCA grill gloves are 17 inches (43.2 cm) long, coated in neoprene on the outside and double-lined on the inside. RAPICCA states 932 °F (500 °C), but neither a contact time nor a test standard. According to the instructions for the Premium grill gloves of the same name, the gloves in the Rösle BBQ Premium set carry EN 407 43xxxx and are rated up to 350 °C. The instructions also say that the glove must not come into contact with an open flame. If you want to hold a grate, chimney starter or glowing cast iron for longer, in our assessment you should choose a model with an EN 407 marking. Care also differs: according to the manufacturer, RAPICCA are washed in the sink with a little soap, whereas according to the instructions the Rösle gloves can be washed neither by hand nor in the machine. According to the manufacturer, the RAPICCA are also intended for hot water and the deep fryer.

Tongs or set, wire brush or steam?

The Rösle Grillzange Premium 44 is 44 cm long, made of 18/10 stainless steel and dishwasher-safe as single tongs. The Rösle set contains the same tongs, plus gloves and a brush, but no turner, no fork and no basting brush. With the brush, it depends on the grate. The Kona Safe/Clean has no individual bristles, but needs a hot grate and water. It is a single piece; a scraper and replacement heads are not mentioned. Kona does not recommend it for small portable grills and thin round stainless steel grate bars. The SlideX in the Rösle set has stainless steel bristles, which Rösle recommends only for stainless steel grates.

What does care cost, and what does the accessory cost?

Cast iron means manual work: dry it, oil it, never put it in the dishwasher. That applies to both Petromax pots and to the Lodge. With Petromax, acidic foods also do not belong in the pot. With new cast iron, Lodge advises against tomato sauce and lemon juice at first. In return, the pots come pre-seasoned. On price, the products are far apart. The most expensive on the list is the Anova Precision Cooker Nano, the cheapest the Rösle Grillzange Premium 44. If you only want to replace one tool, you do not need a whole set. Accessories such as a lid lifter and care paste are not included with the Feuertopf and cost extra. You will find exact guide prices in the table below the list.

How this list came about

We have not handled any of these products ourselves. The basis is our individual reviews, which rely on manufacturer information, instruction manuals and retailer pages; where we make our own assessment, it says so there. The score is our editorial score from build quality, performance, handling and value for money, as described in the scoring methodology.

Only grill accessories whose review we have newly revised and that were in stock at at least one of our shops on 21 October 2026 are included in this list. Of these, we show the 8 with the highest overall score, in this order. We earn a commission on purchases made through our links, which varies in amount from shop to shop; it has no influence on the order.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which pots and pans on the list work on an induction hob?

According to Petromax's care instructions, the cast iron of the Feuertopf Dutch ovens is suitable for induction, but the pot has to sit flat and stable on the hob. That applies to the Petromax Feuertopf ft12 with its flat base. Lodge explicitly names the Lodge L8SK3 for induction. We would not put the ft6 with its three feet on any hob.

Is a glove rated for 500 °C safer than one rated for 350 °C?

The number on its own says little. RAPICCA states 932 °F (500 °C) with no contact time and no test standard, and an EN 407 rating is missing. According to the instructions, the gloves in the Rösle BBQ Premium set carry EN 407 43xxxx and are rated up to 350 °C. In our assessment, a standards-based rating helps you more than the maximum temperature, especially with a grate or hot cast iron.

Can I cook with the Anova Precision Cooker at the grill?

No. The instructions for the Anova Precision Cooker Nano prohibit outdoor use. You cook indoors in a water bath, adjustable from 0 to 92 °C, and then finish the crust in a pan or on the grill. The Nano connects by Bluetooth only, not Wi-Fi, so the app only reaches it within radio range.

Which grill brush suits which grate?

The Kona Safe/Clean works without wire bristles, using steam on the hot grate. Kona does not recommend it for small portable grills and thin round stainless steel grate bars. The SlideX in the Rösle set has stainless steel bristles, which Rösle recommends only for stainless steel grates. For enamelled or chrome-plated grates, Rösle advises the brass brush head set.

Can cast iron go in the dishwasher?

No. According to its symbol page, Petromax lists its cast iron products as not dishwasher-safe, and according to Lodge the Lodge L8SK3 does not belong in the dishwasher. With the ft6, you wash by hand with hot water and no detergent, dry thoroughly and oil it. Lodge, by contrast, says detergent is fine.

Is the Rösle set worth it compared with the single tongs?

That depends on what you are missing. The set contains tongs, gloves and the SlideX brush, but no turner, no fork and no basting brush. The Rösle Grillzange Premium 44 is dishwasher-safe as a single item, whereas the set is not, according to the data sheet. If you only need the tongs, buying them on their own saves money.
