A Grill Cart with 3+1 Burners and Thin Sources

This page covers the Royal Gourmet 3+1 gas grill with model number GH302B-G: a black grill cart with three main burners under the hood, a side burner on the right-hand shelf and a cabinet underneath. The total output of 11.5 kW is stated in the product title. In our price box it costs approx. €200 (Amazon page on 21 October 2026: €199.99) and so is among the inexpensive carts in our gas grill overview.

Who stands behind the device is less clear than the brand name suggests. According to its own website, Royal Gourmet is based in Buford in the US state of Georgia. The Amazon catalogue, however, lists Ningbo Huige Outdoor Products Co.,Ltd. as the manufacturer. The European model with the suffix -G appears neither in the US shop royalgourmetusa.com nor on royalgourmetcorp.com. On 21 October 2026 we went through all 198 products of the US shop; the closest there is the GH3001H, according to its title a three-burner grill without a side burner.

For you, that means: everything technical on this page comes from the five bullet points and the catalogue fields stored at Amazon. We could not find an operating manual online. We did not have the grill in front of us and cooked nothing on it. Where we calculate or assess, we say so.

Burners, Grates and the Cart Beneath

The three main burners deliver 3 kW each, 9 kW together, and are made of stainless steel. Each is controlled by its own knob; in the product photo the three knobs sit next to each other in the strip under the hood. The side burner delivers 2.5 kW and has a fourth knob at the front of the right-hand shelf.

Above the burners lies a cooking grate of 46 x 41.5 cm. Royal Gourmet calls it robust and durable but does not say what it is made of. Above that hangs a stainless steel warming rack measuring 42.2 x 12 cm.

In the photo, the thermometer sits centrally at the top of the hood. Fat runs into a removable grease tray, which according to Royal Gourmet pulls out towards the front. On the left side there are hooks for grill tongs and gloves, and the manufacturer describes the side table and the cabinet as storage space for spices and grilling utensils. In the picture the cabinet has a single door with a vertical handle.

On the undercarriage: in the photo you can see a wheel on the left, while the right-hand legs end in feet. With a cart built like that, you lift it slightly on the foot side to move it and roll it on the wheel side.

Amazon lists dimensions of 57.5 x 110 x 105 cm and a weight of approx. 22 kg. Judging by the photo, the width across both side tables is the longest dimension of the cart; we therefore assume that the 110 cm is the width and the 57.5 cm the depth.

In Detail: A Lot of Output on Little Grate

We calculated the area ourselves from the grate dimensions: 46 times 41.5 cm gives 1,909 cm² of main grate. The warming rack is left out because no flame burns beneath it.

If you divide the 9 kW of the main burners by this area, you get around 4.7 watts per square centimetre. The same calculation for the devices in our table further down: according to the Amazon catalogue, the El Fuego San Francisco also has 9 kW, spread over a 48 x 42 cm grate, which is around 4.5 watts. According to its manual, the TAINO Red 4+1 delivers 4 x 2.5 kW under approx. 61 x 42 cm, around 3.9 watts. For the Broil King Regal 590, according to Broil King it is 16 kW on 4,032 cm², just under 4.0 watts.

So the smallest of the four comes out on top on this figure. A temperature does not follow from it. How hot it gets at the grate depends on the shape of the hood, its wall thickness, the covers over the burners and the wind, and for the GH302B-G the data on hood and covers is missing. The figure only shows that a small area shares a lot of burner output here. Royal Gourmet itself promises quick heat-up and even heat distribution, both without a time in minutes or a measured value.

With three separately controllable burners, the grate can be divided into zones. The principle applies to every gas grill. For direct grilling you cook over a burning flame: the heat comes from below, the surface browns quickly, which suits sausages, thin steaks and vegetables. For indirect grilling the food sits over a switched-off burner with the hood closed, and the heat of the neighbouring burners flows around it as hot air. With three burners, the middle one is usually the one that stays off while the outer ones run. Thick pieces such as chicken drumsticks or a pork neck cook through this way before the crust burns. That only works with the hood closed; every opening lets the hot air escape. How to arrange the zones is explained in our guide to direct and indirect heat.

Are 46 x 41.5 cm Enough for Your Grill Session?

For a household with occasional guests, yes in our assessment; for regular large gatherings, rather not. The neighbours in the catalogue serve as a yardstick: the TAINO Red 4+1 has around a third more grate, the Broil King Regal 590 more than double.

Where it gets tight depends on the food. Sausages and thin steaks only lie there briefly, so you can grill in batches while the first people are already eating. It gets tight as soon as everything is meant to be ready at the same time or part of the grate has to stay free for indirect cooking. With the middle burner off, roughly two thirds of the area remain for direct heat, provided the burners are spread as evenly as the knobs in the photo suggest.

The warming rack takes food that should not keep cooking, and side dishes in aluminium foil. For planning, we would count it as a shelf, not as grilling area.

Gas Connection, Consumption and What You Need to Buy Extra

Gas type and operating pressure of the GH302B-G are not published anywhere, nor is it stated whether a pressure regulator is included. Gas grills for the German market generally run on propane or butane at 50 mbar. Whether that applies here, you read off the rating plate and in the manual that comes with it, before you buy a regulator.

For consumption there is only a rough calculation from us. At TAINO, according to the manual, 2.5 kW of burner output corresponds to 182 g of gas per hour. Because the kW rating of a gas burner depends on the amount of gas it burns per hour, the ratio can be transferred: the 9 kW of the main burners would be around 655 g per hour, all four burners together around 837 g. An 11 kg bottle would last just under 17 hours at full load of the three main burners. In real use, everything is rarely at maximum, and the bottle then lasts longer.

Which bottle suits your grilling rhythm and how exchange and owned bottles differ is covered in our guide to the gas bottle for the grill.

We found no accessories with a model designation for this grill, and no dedicated cover either. You choose a cover from another provider by its outer dimensions. The catalogue values are a guide for that; a tape measure on the assembled cart is more reliable, because handles and knobs protrude.

Cleaning and Safety While the Manual Is Missing

On its US website, Royal Gourmet refers to the respective owner’s manual for assembly, safety warnings, operation and care. None is stored there for the GH302B-G. The printed manual in the box is therefore the only manufacturer source on installation, distances and gas connection, and it takes precedence over everything stated here.

Two points are documented: the grease tray can be pulled out, and the burners and warming rack are made of stainless steel. Whether grates or tray may go in the dishwasher and which brush the manufacturer permits is open. That in particular depends on the grate material. Cast iron, for example, is thinly oiled after cleaning so that it does not rust, while a stainless steel grate does not need that. Before the first scrubbing, we would therefore read what the manual says about the grate.

In general, the following applies to every gas grill, regardless of Royal Gourmet: it is only used outdoors. After every bottle change, you check the connections for tightness with leak detection spray or soapy water, never with a flame. You never extinguish burning fat with water. These are general rules, not manufacturer specifications for this model, and every manufacturer sets its own minimum distances to house walls, privacy screens or awnings. How to keep grate, burners and grease tray clean in a short routine is described in our guide cleaning a gas grill.

What Remains Open on the GH302B-G

Some of these points came up above because they touch a decision there. Here they are listed in full so that you can ask the retailer specifically:

  • Gas type, operating pressure and whether regulator and hose are included
  • Type of ignition: piezo in the knob, separate ignition button or electronic
  • Material of main grate, housing, lid, burner trough, frame and grease tray
  • Maximum temperature and heat-up time in minutes
  • Gas consumption in grams per hour
  • Interior dimensions of the cabinet and the bottle size that fits in it
  • Number of wheels and whether they can be locked
  • Measuring range and accuracy of the lid thermometer
  • Assembly time, complete contents of the box, spare parts and a matching cover
  • Country of origin, market year, and whether the catalogue weight is with or without packaging
  • Warranty terms and who the warranty provider is in the EU
  • An installation approval for the balcony; the word appears only in the Amazon title

What Else Is Worth Considering?

Model The difference Price Our rating Choose this one if
Royal Gourmet 3+1 GH302B-G (this one) 3 x 3 kW plus 2.5 kW side burner, grate material open approx. €200 7.8 you want a side burner and can manage with the smallest grate of the four
El Fuego San Francisco same burner output, cast iron grate 48 x 42 cm, hose and pressure regulator included according to the title approx. €200 7.9 you want to know what the grate is made of and what is in the box
TAINO Red 4+1 four main burners of 2.5 kW each, grate approx. 61 x 42 cm, double-walled lid approx. €200 7.7 you often grill for more people and would like a German manual to read up on
Broil King Regal 590 five main burners with 16 kW, rear burner with 4.4 kW for the rotisserie approx. €1,649 9.4 you are buying for large gatherings over many years and your budget is far above entry level

The prices are guide values from our price boxes and change constantly. The rating is our editorial assessment from catalogue and manufacturer data; we measured nothing on any of the four grills.

When the Royal Gourmet Fits and When Another Grill Does

The closest decision is against the El Fuego San Francisco. In our price box it costs approx. €200, so about as much as the Royal Gourmet, has the same burner output and, according to the catalogue, a cast iron grate that is slightly larger, plus hose and pressure regulator. At about the same price we would take the El Fuego, because with it you know beforehand what you are getting. That can tip if the Royal Gourmet is offered clearly cheaper on the day you buy, for instance because you already have a regulator in the cellar.

If you often grill for many people, the area is a more important point than any feature question. The TAINO Red 4+1 costs approx. €200 in our price box and has four main burners instead of three. In addition there is a manual that TAINO provides for download, with gas type, nozzles and bottle dimensions. If you want to read up on how the grill is connected before buying, you do not get that with the Royal Gourmet.

All three devices in the lower price range have the side burner, so it decides nothing between them. If you do not need one, it is worth looking at pure three-burner grills in our overview.

Two things count for the spot where you put it. First, the width across both shelves, which you compare with your space before buying. Second, whether you may grill with gas on your balcony at all; what landlords and house rules can regulate is explained in our guide grilling on a balcony. The Broil King Regal 590 plays in a different league: it costs approx. €1,649 and is built for gardens with space.

The wrong choice is the Royal Gourmet 3+1 for two groups: for everyone who wants to see in black and white before ordering what to connect it with and how to care for the grate, and for everyone who wants to buy spare parts over the years from a manufacturer with a German presence. If you are still unsure which size and which fuel suit you at all, work through the questions in the grill finder.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Royal Gourmet Gasgrill 3+1 Brenner

Short, clear answers about buying, using and caring for Royal Gourmet Gasgrill 3+1 Brenner.

How much total cooking area does the Royal Gourmet 3+1 have?

Around 2,415 cm² in total, of which a good 506 cm² is on the warming rack. We multiplied both values ourselves from the grate dimensions of 46 x 41.5 cm and 42.2 x 12 cm; Royal Gourmet does not publish an area figure in square centimetres. The upper rack therefore makes up a good fifth of the total area. It does not count for food that needs direct flame, because it sits above the main grate inside the hood.

Are a pressure regulator and gas hose included with the Royal Gourmet 3+1?

That is not documented, so budget for both when buying. Neither the Amazon title nor the bullet points mention a regulator. For comparison: with the El Fuego San Francisco, the addition "incl. gas hose and pressure regulator" is already in the product title. If you buy a regulator separately, it has to match the gas type, pressure and bottle valve; these values are on the grill's rating plate, which you only see after unpacking.

Does a gas bottle fit in the cabinet underneath?

We do not know whether one does, or which. Royal Gourmet describes the side table and cabinet only as storage space for spices and grilling utensils; the catalogue mentions neither an interior height nor a bottle holder. TAINO shows how specific this can be: for the Red 4+1, the manufacturer specifies a holder for 5 kg and 8 kg bottles, at most 500 mm high and under 305 mm in diameter. Measure the cabinet yourself after assembly.

May I use the Royal Gourmet 3+1 on a balcony?

We did not find any approval for that. The word balcony appears only in the Amazon title, together with camping and party, and a product title is not an installation rule. Whether you may grill with gas on a balcony is decided by your tenancy agreement, the house rules and, if there is one, the owners' association regulations. The minimum distances to combustible parts are in the manual that comes with the grill.

How accurately does the lid thermometer show the temperature at the grate?

Not directly, because it measures the air at the top of the hood. At the grate, close to the flame, it is usually hotter; Enders, for example, states this explicitly for its grills. Royal Gourmet advertises that the temperature can be read reliably in the lid, but measuring range and tolerance are missing. For steaks and roasts, we would plan in an additional probe thermometer for the core temperature.

What distinguishes the Royal Gourmet 3+1 from the El Fuego San Francisco?

In output, nothing: according to Amazon, both have three main burners of 3 kW each and a 2.5 kW side burner. The differences are in the grate and the weight. According to the catalogue, the El Fuego weighs around 27.0 kg, the Royal Gourmet around 22.0 kg. The set-up dimensions are almost the same; El Fuego lists 110 x 104.5 x 57 cm. In our rating the two are 0.1 points apart.

What warranty does Royal Gourmet give on the grill?

We did not find reliable warranty terms for the GH302B-G, so we do not state a duration. Independently of that, the retailer you buy from is liable for two years for defects that already existed at handover; this is the statutory warranty in Germany for new goods. Keep the invoice and the boxes of the individual parts in case a component fails early.

Is the side burner enough for a large pan?

For smaller pots and pans, yes; we would not plan on it as a replacement for a hob. Its 2.5 kW matches the side burner of the TAINO Red 4+1, while the Broil King Regal 590 has a side burner plate with 2.7 kW. Royal Gourmet gives no pot diameter and no load capacity for the grate over the side burner; place heavy cast iron pans in the centre and carefully.
