Six burners, one side burner, one cabinet

This Outsunny is a large gas grill cart. Under the hood are six main burners, to the left sits a separate side burner, and below stands a cabinet with two doors. According to our price box it costs approx. €270 (Amazon page on 21.10.2026: €269.90). In our overview of gas grills it is one of several carts with a 6+1 layout.

In the Amazon catalogue it carries the model number 846-267V91BK, and MH Handel GmbH is listed as the manufacturer. We could not load a manufacturer page with a datasheet or an instruction manual, and the Aosom shop pages where we looked for them rejected every request. Everything stated here about the device therefore comes from the Amazon catalogue data and the product photo. That is thinner than for reviews where we had a manual, and you will notice this in several places in this text.

The photo shows a black cart with a rectangular hood, a metal bar handle on top, and a round thermometer in the middle of the hood. The control panel is silver and has six control knobs. On the left, the side burner sits under a hinged lid, with its knob on the front edge. On the right is a smooth shelf. Below the side burner an open compartment remains, two wheels run at the bottom left, and on the right the cart stands on two feet.

What the Amazon catalogue states about the build

Each of the six main burners has 2.5 kW, the side burner 2.8 kW. Together that makes the 17.8 kW from the title. For the hood itself, 15 kW remain, because the side burner only heats its own cooking point. Ignition is by piezo, and according to the manufacturer with an independent ignition per burner, so that different temperatures can be run across the surface.

The manufacturer gives the cooking area as 2600 cm², and the warming rack appears in the same sentence. Whether it is included in the 2600 cm² is left open there. A grate size in centimetres is missing, and we do not back-calculate it from the external dimensions: the width of the cart includes the side burner and shelf and says nothing about the firebox.

On the hood, the manufacturer writes that it keeps the heat enclosed while grilling. The lid thermometer has a dual scale. You can fold the side burner shut when you do not need it, and it then becomes a shelf for spices and accessories. On the right comes the side table for preparation, and below the cabinet, which the manufacturer intends for grill utensils. Fat drips into a removable catch tray.

The catalogue dimensions are 135 x 51 x 101 cm (length, width, height), and the weight 55.1 pounds, so approx. 25 kg. No manufacturer source confirms whether these are the dimensions of the assembled grill; they fit the photo. For a cart with seven burners and a cabinet we consider 25 kg low and would treat the figure as an unverified catalogue statement. The title gives “stainless steel” as the material, and the catalogue gives black as the colour. In the photo only the control panel is silver.

What the manufacturer does not state

These points are missing from the Amazon catalogue data, and the datasheet or manual that could clarify them was not available:

  • Gas type (propane, butane) and connection pressure in mbar
  • whether a pressure regulator and gas hose are in the box, and what else is part of the scope of delivery
  • Grate dimensions and the main cooking area without the warming rack
  • Material of the grate, burners, lid and housing in detail
  • Maximum temperature, heat-up time and gas consumption in grams per hour
  • Space for a gas bottle in the cabinet
  • Working height, packed dimensions and parcel weight
  • whether the wheels have a parking brake
  • Warranty terms and spare parts
  • Assembly effort
  • Safety, set-up and care instructions

In detail: what six burners under one hood bring

Six separately ignited burners mean mainly one thing: you can divide the surface into strips. Direct grilling happens over lit burners, so sausages, burgers, steaks. Indirect grilling puts the food over switched-off burners while the neighbours run, and the closed hood carries the hot air around the meat. That is how a roast or a whole chicken cooks without burning from below.

With six burners, both work at the same time. One possible set-up: two burners on full on the left for searing, the middle two low as a transition, and two off on the right for the roast. On a three-burner grill, usually only the middle burner is left off for the indirect zone. How to lay out the zones sensibly on a gas grill is explained in our guide to direct and indirect heat.

One figure helps with classification, as long as you do not overrate it. Divide the 15 kW of the main burners by 2600 cm² and you get around 5.8 W per square centimetre. If the warming rack is part of this area, the actual grate is smaller and the value higher. The calculation does not reveal how hot it actually gets at the grate, though. That depends on the grate material, the distance between flame and grate, how tightly the hood closes, wind and outside temperature.

On the thermometer: a lid thermometer measures the air at the top of the hood. At the grate it is clearly hotter over running burners and often cooler over switched-off ones. For a roast we would additionally use a probe thermometer that measures the core temperature in the meat.

Piezo means the ignition spark is produced mechanically when you press and turn the knob. It needs no batteries. An electronic ignition, like the one the Nexgrill in our table further down has, produces the spark with battery power.

Is 2600 cm² enough for eight people?

According to the manufacturer, yes. It writes that up to 10 burger patties and 16 sausages can be prepared on the surface at the same time, and names six to eight people as the target group. We can only follow this loading on paper.

Do the sums: with eight guests, each gets 1.25 patties and two sausages per round. That is enough for one round of burgers, and for a second you add more. If you also want to cook a roast indirectly at the same time, you lose a third of the burners and with them roughly a third of the area. By our reading, the manufacturer’s figure refers to the full area, not to a zone set-up.

It also remains open whether the patties and sausages fit on the main grate alone or whether the warming rack is counted in. For a grill round with six people and only quick-cooking food, we consider the statement plausible. With eight people and grilled side dishes it gets tight, and that is the moment when the side burner takes the pan with onions or mushrooms off the main grate and frees up space.

Gas bottle, regulator and what an hour at full load costs

Which gas the grill needs and at what pressure is the biggest gap in the data. In general, gas grills for the German market usually run on propane or butane at 50 mbar. The rating plate on the device is what counts, though, and you should read it before you buy a regulator. In the product photo, an orange hose with a regulator lies at the bottom right. A product image sometimes shows accessories only for illustration; the photo alone does not prove that both are in the box.

For consumption, an upper limit can be calculated from the rated output. An 11 kg propane bottle holds around 141 kWh. With all seven burners on full, so 17.8 kW, it is on paper empty after just under eight hours, which is around 1.4 kg of gas per hour. With the six main burners alone it lasts a good nine hours. With the knobs turned lower the fill lasts longer; how much longer depends on the low setting of the valves, and there is no figure for that.

You work out what an hour at full load costs yourself: the refill price of your 11 kg bottle divided by eight. Refill prices vary greatly by retailer and region, which is why we name none.

On top of the one-off costs come the bottle itself (purchase or deposit), possibly a regulator and hose, a leak-detection spray and a cover. We know of no cover the manufacturer names as fitting. Anyone buying one takes the external dimensions from the catalogue and measures the assembled grill. Which bottle size suits which grill and how to store it is covered in the guide gas bottle for the grill.

What else is worth considering?

Weber Spirit II E-310 three burners with 7.0 kW, no side burner, porcelain-enamelled cast grate approx. €460 9.2 documented warranty and spare-part details matter more to you than the burner count

The prices come from our price boxes and change constantly in retail. The rating is our editorial assessment based on the available manufacturer data; we have not measured anything on any of these grills.

When this grill suits and when another does

Start with the number of people. If you mostly grill for two or three, you heat a large hood here for two steaks. That works, since you do not have to light all the burners, but you still haul around the footprint and weight. For small groups we would prefer a grill with three or four burners.

Against the TAINO BRANDO 6+1 there is a simple calculation. It is in the price box at approx. €190, the Outsunny at approx. €270, and in our comparison both get 7.7. In the Outsunny’s favour, the output per burner is stated (6 x 2.5 kW plus 2.8 kW, together 17.8 kW), whereas for the TAINO the manual, according to our review, only gives the total of 15.5 kW. On area, both are about equal. If the per-burner figure matters to you, that is worth the extra price, otherwise not.

The Nexgrill Deluxe 6+1 is in the price box at approx. €599 (on 21.10.2026 only from marketplace sellers on Amazon, Amazon itself did not offer it), the Outsunny at approx. €270. For that you get a cast grate and a cart on four wheels, two of which are lockable. If you often push the grill over paving or lawn and want it to stand securely afterwards, this is the most tangible difference.

The Weber Spirit II E-310 is in the price box at approx. €460 and has fewer burners: three instead of six, and no side burner. What you buy for that is documentation. Weber documents the warranty per component and names routes to original spare parts, whereas for the Outsunny we did not even find a manual. If you grill for four to six people and want a grill you can repair over many years, the Weber is the better choice in our assessment.

Do you need the side burner? If you want to make sauces, onions or fried potatoes outdoors, yes. If not, folded shut it is a second shelf, and a grill without a side burner would be just as good for you. If you are not yet sure which design you want at all, you can go through the questions one by one in the grill finder.

Cleaning and safety while the manual is missing

With gas, open flame and fat, we rely on the wording of the manufacturer’s manual, and we do not have it for this model. We therefore do not paraphrase manufacturer instructions we have not read. Only one care detail is documented: the grease tray can be removed and catches the dripping fat so that it does not end up in the cart.

Under the EU Gas Appliances Regulation, a gas grill must come with a manual containing safety instructions in the language of the country where it is sold. Read it completely before the first ignition, especially the sections on minimum distances, set-up location and gas connection.

Regardless of the model, these rules apply in general, as general safety rules and not as a statement from Outsunny:

  • Gas grills belong outdoors, never in enclosed or roofed spaces.
  • Before first use and after every bottle change, check all connections with leak-detection spray or soapy water. If bubbles form, the gas stays off. Never look for a leak with a flame.
  • When igniting, the lid is open so that no gas collects under the hood.
  • The cover only goes on the grill once it has cooled down.

Which brush may go on the grate depends on the grate material, and that is open. Clarify this with the manual before you reach for a wire brush. For the remaining routine after grilling and the basic cleaning of burners and grease tray, we have the guide cleaning a gas grill.

Who is it suitable for?

For hosts with a garden or large terrace who grill for six people or more and want to spend as little as possible doing so. According to the manufacturer, the two large wheels are meant to move the cart between house and garden. In the photo they sit on the left, with feet on the right: to move it, you lift the right side and roll it like a wheelbarrow. On level paving this is doable at approx. 25 kg, and through soft lawn it gets harder. The feet then hold the grill in place, which in our assessment largely replaces a missing brake.

It is the wrong choice for anyone who wants to know in black and white before buying which gas, which regulator and which spare parts they need. The data for this model does not yet provide those answers. Anyone buying this way should ask the retailer or pick a grill whose manual can be viewed before purchase.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Outsunny Gasgrill 17,8 KW 6+1 Brenner

Short, clear answers about buying, using and caring for Outsunny Gasgrill 17,8 KW 6+1 Brenner.

Is the warming rack included in the 2600 cm²?

The catalogue data does not settle this, because the manufacturer mentions the cooking area and the warming rack in the same sentence without splitting the area. In the product photo, the warming rack is a narrow grid that hangs at the back, above the main grate, and takes up almost the whole width of the hood. Food placed there sits further from the flames. We would plan it for keeping food warm and not count it as cooking area.

How long does a 5 kg gas bottle last?

On paper, a good three and a half hours with all seven burners on full. A 5 kg propane bottle holds around 64 kWh; divided by 17.8 kW, that gives 3.6 hours. With the six main burners alone it is about 4.3 hours. For a long evening with a roast in the indirect zone, that is tight. The manufacturer does not publish consumption in grams per hour; these figures are our rough calculation from the rated output.

Can I set up the grill on a balcony?

Whether you are allowed to depends on your tenancy agreement, the house rules and the set-up rules in the manual, and we did not have the manual. It needs plenty of space: on top of the footprint you need room in front of the control panel, and according to the photo the lid opens towards the back. The gas bottle must also stand securely. Nothing flammable belongs above an open gas flame, which includes an awning. On a narrow balcony we would recommend a tabletop grill.

What warranty comes with the Outsunny?

We have no warranty terms, because neither a manufacturer page nor a manual could be retrieved. Regardless of that, in Germany you have the statutory two-year warranty against the retailer you buy from. For a complaint, the part number DE846-267V91BK from the Amazon catalogue helps the retailer or MH Handel identify the model clearly. Keep the invoice for this.

Is the side burner good for pan dishes?

According to the manufacturer, yes; it explicitly names pan dishes as a use. At 2.8 kW, the side burner is in the range of a power burner on a gas hob, which usually have around 3 kW. It is not stated what pot or pan diameter the support takes. Outdoors, wind takes more power from a single open flame than from the burners under the closed hood, and the photo shows no windshield at the side burner.

What should I look out for with the model number?

The complete number 846-267V91BK. During our research, retailer listings also showed offers with the similar number 846-267V40BK, described as a six-burner with 15 kW. We could not clarify whether that is a variant without a side burner. Before buying, compare the title, burner count and output in the listing, and give the complete number for spare-part enquiries.

Does the gas bottle fit in the lower cabinet?

This is not documented: the manufacturer describes the cabinet as storage for grill utensils and does not mention a gas bottle. A common 11 kg steel bottle measures around 30 cm in diameter and just under 60 cm in height. Whether it fits through the two doors and whether enough air remains under the burner tray cannot be said without internal dimensions. Before buying, measure your bottle against the assembled cabinet.
