What is behind number 97126
Enders sells the eFLOW PRO 2 TURBO in two versions. The SHADOW variant has item number 97126 and the colour Enders calls “matt graphite”; the sister model with number 97106 is stainless steel. The manual lists the SHADOW as 9712/97126, and on Amazon the model number is 9712. So the right appliance is listed under ASIN B0BRYGDX8N.
The grill is built like a gas grill cart, only with heating elements instead of burners. The product photo shows a closed base cabinet with a door and vertical handle, with the combustion chamber on top, a domed hood and the thermometer in the centre at the top. A side shelf sticks out to the left and right, and four castors sit underneath. On the control panel you can see two dials, the right one with a glowing red ring.
Enders states a recommended retail price of €469. On Amazon the price on 21 October 2026 was approx. €469 (Amazon page on 21 October 2026: €469.00), so at the recommended retail price. This is the lowest new price from a marketplace seller, because Amazon itself did not offer the grill that day. Where the grill sits between tabletop appliances and other grill carts is shown in the overview of all electric grills.
Heating elements, grate and housing
Under the grate are three heating elements of 1.5 kW each. At most two of them run at the same time, which gives the total power of 3 kW, stated in the manual as a maximum of 3,000 W. The area is split into two heating zones that you set separately, according to Enders for direct and indirect grilling and baking. Both controls are LED-lit and infinitely variable. There is also a power button and the button for the TURBO ZONE.
Enders calls the grate SWITCH GRID. It is made of enamelled cast iron and measures 50 x 39 cm, so 1,950 cm². Amazon writes “almost 2,000 cm²”, meaning the same area, rounded up. In the centre sits a removable round insert for accessories; if it stays in, the SWITCH GRID is an ordinary grill grate. Above the main grate hangs a swing-away stainless steel warming rack.
In terms of material, the SHADOW differs from the stainless steel sister model. The cooking hood and combustion chamber are made of enamelled steel with cast aluminium side panels, and the hood is double-walled. The control panel, door and side shelves are powder-coated steel, and the door is also double-walled. The manual contains one restriction on the shelves: they are not intended for direct contact with food. So you put raw meat on a board or a plate.
Assembled, the grill measures 112.5 x 57 x 111.5 cm (W x D x H), 76 cm wide with the shelves folded down. The working height is 89 cm. According to the manual, the weight is 36.5 kg. Amazon lists “36.5 pounds” for this, which looks like the kilogram value with the wrong unit. The cart rolls on four wheels with a lock. The appliance is protected against splashing water to IPX4, the mains plug to IP44, and it is connected to 220 to 230 V at 50 to 60 Hz.
What Enders does not state
Some data you would like to have when comparing is missing from the product page, manual and warranty conditions: a maximum temperature in degrees (the thermometer only marks a searing range from 270 °C), power consumption per hour or per grilling evening, the area of the warming rack, the country of production, the material of the wheels, and the price of the SWITCH GRID wok, which Enders mentions in the promotional text but does not list in the accessories list.
In detail: what the TURBO ZONE does
One press of the TURBO ZONE button concentrates the full power of 3,000 W on the right-hand grilling area. The grill does not draw more power in doing so. The left heating element switches off automatically, and the LED turns red. For maximum temperature, according to the manual you turn the right control fully up, because the TURBO ZONE heating element cannot be regulated. A second press ends the mode, and the left side then heats up again to the setting its control specifies.
On the right half, the power is thus doubled. We read the data to mean that in normal operation one 1.5 kW element works under each zone and in turbo mode two work under the right one. However, Enders nowhere describes exactly how the three heating elements are arranged.
This gives a limit you should know before buying. As long as you are searing on the right, the left zone stays cold. Searing steaks and keeping sausages on medium heat next to them, both at the same time, is not possible with this grill; what is done moves to the warming rack in the meantime. In our assessment, the principle fits the usual sequence well: sear briefly and hot first, then let it finish with the hood closed at lower heat. After the turbo pass, the left side heats again, and the cast iron grate on the right releases stored heat for a while, because cast iron absorbs a lot of it. How direct and indirect zones work together is explained in our guide to direct and indirect heat.
The thermometer in the hood shows where you stand. Its scale has three ranges: Low & Slow from 0 to 120 °C, Grilling from 120 to 270 °C and Searing from 270 °C. According to the manual, the values correspond to the temperature directly at the grate. You should preheat for 15 to 20 minutes with both controls on the highest setting and the hood closed; air temperature and wind change the time. While grilling too, Enders recommends closing the hood and not opening it constantly, because the food then cooks faster and more evenly.
Which socket does the grill need?
A properly installed earthed (grounded) socket that is suitable for an appliance of 3,000 watts and runs through a residual current device (RCD) with a trip current of 30 mA at most. No other high-power appliances may be on the same circuit.
The catch for many gardens: according to the manual, extension cables and plug adapters are not suitable for this appliance, because they impair the RCD protection and can lead to loss of power. So the socket must be within reach of the 215 cm mains cable. The cable must not run across walkways and must not touch the hot grill.
The manual’s other electrical requirements: the supply voltage must match the one on the rating plate. You check the connection cable regularly for damage; if it is damaged, the appliance must not be used, and only qualified personnel replace the plug or cable. If the socket is damaged, you do not put the grill into operation. When you are not grilling, you pull the plug, and when switching off a fixed order applies: first switch off the main switch on the front, only then pull the mains plug. You keep electric cables away from all hot surfaces.
An upper limit can be calculated for electricity. At 3,000 W the grill draws 3 kWh at most in one hour, and the same with the TURBO ZONE, because the power is then merely redistributed. Multiplied by your tariff, this gives the cost of one hour at full load. We have no figure for controls turned up halfway.
Where the grill may stand
“For outdoor use only”, says the manual, and elsewhere: not indoors and not for commercial use. For the outdoor location, Enders is specific. The grill belongs on a level, stable surface, sheltered from wind and away from moisture and splashing water. It keeps at least 0.5 m distance from combustible materials, and there must be no objects or parts of buildings above it below a height of 2 m. The manual requires 3 m from bodies of water such as pools or ponds. You may not build it into a structure or push it into one, it should not stand in heavily frequented areas, and it must not come into contact with flammable materials such as paper, partitions, curtains, cloths or chemicals.
The best way to work out the location is with these distances. If you apply the 0.5 m from the edges of the unfolded shelves, the grill needs 212.5 cm of free width in front of a wooden wall (112.5 cm plus twice 50 cm). That is our cautious calculation; whether the distance is meant from the shelf or from the combustion chamber, the manual leaves open. The 2 m upwards rules out a low awning directly above the grill.
The manual is silent on balconies; it neither forbids nor permits them. The distances apply there just the same, and whether an electric grill may stand on your balcony is governed by your tenancy agreement and house rules. What matters is summarised in our guide to grilling on a balcony.
The grill is not moved during operation; instead you lock the wheels by pressing down the brake. Before moving it you fold the side tables down, and it is only transported or stored after it has cooled down.
Cleaning, care and safety according to the manual
SIMPLE CLEAN is the name of the cleaning system, which according to the manual has a patent pending. You take out the individual parts of the combustion chamber and the grease drawer without tools. According to Enders, the removable parts are all stainless steel and either dishwasher-safe or easy to clean by hand.
Before cleaning, the grill must be completely cooled down and the mains cable pulled. The manual requires cleaning the grill after every use and once more before each use to avoid grease deposits. You pull out the grease drawer and dispose of the grease in an environmentally responsible way. For light soiling, the heating elements are, according to Enders, almost self-cleaning; you remove coarser dirt with a soft brush on the switched-off, cooled appliance.
You brush the cast iron grate while hot, directly on the grill, with a stainless steel brush. For a thorough clean you take it out cold, treat it with the Enders grate cleaner (item no. 4974) or with soapy water, let it soak and rinse it clean. For surfaces Enders recommends the grill cleaner with item no. 4975 or a mild detergent; afterwards you wipe with a damp cloth, ideally a microfibre cloth. You do not use abrasive, chlorine-containing or flammable cleaning agents. You must not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, and it must dry completely before the next use. For stubborn residue, our guide on cleaning a burnt-on grate helps; for the enamel of this grate, Enders’ instructions take precedence.
On an electric grill, grease is the real source of fire. Fats and oils can ignite spontaneously when heated strongly. That is why deposits should be removed regularly from the inside of the hood, from the combustion chamber, from the heating element mounts and from the grease drawer.
On use itself, the manual sums up what is permitted and what is not. You use the grill only as it describes, otherwise there is a risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury. It is not a heater, must not be operated with charcoal or similar fuels and must not be modified. It is never left unattended during operation, and it is operated only with the dials fitted. Accessible parts can be very hot, you keep children and vulnerable people away, and you wear protective gloves when handling hot components. Hot air can escape when the hood is opened; you hold it firmly when opening and closing so that it does not fall down and trap anything. You do not look directly into the glowing heating elements for long. You check the screws for tightness at regular intervals, and repairs or maintenance on electronic parts are carried out only by authorised qualified personnel.
SWITCH GRID: accessories and their prices
The round insert in the centre of the grate is the place for accessories from the Enders range. The product description mentions Dutch oven, sear grate, pizza stone, poultry roaster, wok and pan. In the manufacturer’s shop, according to the product page, the sear grate costs €39.95, the poultry roaster also €39.95, the pizza stone €44.95, the pan €49.95 and the Dutch oven €89.90.
If you add the sear grate and pizza stone, you pay €84.90 together in the manufacturer’s shop. A replacement SWITCH GRID costs €59.90 there, a stainless steel skewer €69.90.
What else comes into question?
| Model | The difference | Price | Our rating | Choose this one if |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Enders eFLOW PRO 2 TURBO SHADOW (this one) | Enamelled steel hood in matt graphite, base cabinet with door | approx. €469 | 8.3 | you want a dark finish and a closed base cabinet |
| Enders eFLOW PRO 2 TURBO | Hood, combustion chamber, control panel and door in stainless steel | approx. €384.95 | 8.9 | you prefer stainless steel to graphite |
| Enders eFLAVOUR 2 Turbo | powder-coated hood, plastic tray instead of a door | approx. €309.99 | 8.5 | you want to save money with the same power and area |
| Landmann EG-II-590 | Temperature selectable in 50 °C steps from 100 to 300 °C | approx. €550 | 9.4 | you want to set a target temperature instead of searching for it on the dial |
The prices are guide values from our price box and change. The ratings come from the respective pages and are editorial assessments; that the stainless steel sister model is rated 0.6 points higher with technically identical data, we have not re-evaluated with this text.
When the SHADOW suits you and when another one does
Before the finish comes the power connection. If you do not have an earthed socket with RCD protection that can handle 3,000 W at the grilling spot, none of the appliances in the table will help, because all three siblings are also electric grill carts. On the Landmann, the mains cable is, according to the manufacturer’s shop, only 1.7 m long.
Once the socket is there, the difference from the stainless steel sister model is a question of looks. Enders lists both on the category page with the same recommended retail price of €469; in our price box the stainless steel eFLOW PRO 2 TURBO stands at approx. €384.95, while the SHADOW costs approx. €469 from marketplace sellers on Amazon. The prices come from different sources and are not directly comparable. Technically, Enders states the same data for both.
You can save with the eFLAVOUR 2 Turbo, which stands at approx. €309.99 in our price box. It also has 3 kW, a TURBO ZONE and 1,950 cm² of grate area. In return, its hood is powder-coated steel, a removable plastic serving tray sits in front of the shelves instead of a door, and according to Enders it weighs around 5 kg less. The bigger difference lies in the 2026 Enders warranty: on the cooking hood and combustion chamber unit of the eFLOW PRO there are ten years after registration, on the eFLAVOUR five. If you want to use the grill outdoors for many years, the higher price in our assessment mainly buys you this protection.
If you want to set a temperature instead of infinitely variable controls, the Landmann EG-II-590 is the alternative, which our price box lists at approx. €550. According to the manual, on it you choose 100 to 300 °C in 50 °C steps per heating element, measured at the grate, and a timer of up to 990 minutes then switches the grill off. Landmann states its grilling area as 59 x 40.5 cm on two grates.
The SHADOW is the wrong choice for three groups. If you can only get power at the grilling spot via a cable reel, you break the manual’s rules. If you regularly want to sear on one side and keep grilling at full heat on the other at the same time, you run into the switched-off left zone. And if you have to carry the grill down cellar stairs after every use, you are better served by a tabletop grill than by a grill cart of this weight. If you are unsure which type of grill suits your space, the Grill Finder helps.
