The LEHMANN tabletop gas grill, model number LGAGG-4147, is a gas grill without a cart: two burners under one lid, a cast grate, and a shelf on the left and right. It stands on a table or a wall, and the gas bottle goes next to it on the floor. Our price box lists it at Amazon at approx. €130 (Amazon page on 21.10.2026: €129.99).

Who is behind LEHMANN, and why there is no product page

LEHMANN is a Polish brand. Behind it is Lehmann HG Sp. z o.o. from Psarskie, a supplier of household appliances and of equipment for house and garden, workshop and heating. On its own website lehmann.pl, the gas grill category lists grill carts such as the Texas 3+1 or the Vegas 6+1, plus a pizza gas grill called Boldo. You will look in vain for the LGAGG-4147 tabletop grill there. Neither the category page, nor the product sitemap, nor the shop search returns a hit.

For you, this means: everything we know about the device comes from the Amazon listing, that is, from the title, product description and catalogue fields. That is less than for most grills in our gas grill category, where a data sheet or manual is usually available as well.

The title names outdoor BBQ, balcony and camping as places of use, and the description lists camping, balcony, garden and travel. So the LEHMANN is intended for little space and for on the go.

Burners, cast grate, shelves: what the Amazon listing says

There are two burners under the lid. According to the description, they distribute the heat evenly, and the temperature is supposed to be adjustable from 0 to 500 °C. Ignition is by piezo igniter. A thermometer sits in the lid so that you can read the temperature without opening it.

The grate is made of cast iron and measures 46.8 × 35 cm. The stated grilling area is 1638 cm², and that figure follows exactly from these two edge lengths. So it is the area of the grate itself and not one extrapolated from outer dimensions. Grease drips into a removable collection tray, and the handle on the lid is heat-resistant according to the seller.

In the product photo, the lid is a flat box with rounded edges and a crosswise bar handle. The body sits on two arched feet, and two control knobs are visible at the front of the base. Both shelves are unfolded in the image and project sideways beyond the body, and the title describes them as folding. A connection set is part of the delivery; according to the description, the grill is ready to use straight after unpacking with it. The colour is black.

Then the dimensions. Amazon’s catalogue lists approx. 102 cm width, approx. 36 cm depth, approx. 45 cm height and approx. 13.0 kg weight. Catalogue dimensions are overall dimensions, and the 102 cm fit a grill with unfolded shelves, as the photo shows it. The depth is odd. If the grate alone is 35 cm deep, that leaves, by calculation, one centimetre for housing walls, knobs and feet at 36 cm. So one of the two dimensions was measured differently from what you would assume. For the footprint, we would not plan with 36 cm but allow a few centimetres of clearance.

In detail: cast iron instead of stainless steel on the grate

The two tabletop grills we compare the LEHMANN with have stainless steel under the food. tepro names a one-piece stainless steel grate for the Chicago, and TAINO likewise names stainless steel for the Platinum Compact. The LEHMANN has cast iron.

The difference is physical. Cast iron is heavy and stores a lot of heat, so a cast grate absorbs a lot of energy during preheating and passes it on through the bars to the food placed on it. If you put a cold steak on, the bars cool down less than thin stainless steel bars. For pronounced grill marks, this is exactly the property that matters. In addition, a hot, heavy grate dampens temperature swings when you open the lid briefly.

You pay for this with care. Raw cast iron rusts if it stays wet and needs a protective layer of baked-on oil. Enamelled cast iron is protected against rust as long as the enamel stays intact, but does not tolerate knocks. The description says only the word cast iron. Raw or enamelled decides how you care for it, and that is exactly what you need to ask the retailer.

Stainless steel is less demanding but has less mass under the food. If you want both, you can upgrade with TAINO: the brand sells a two-piece cast grate in 39 × 33 cm format for the Platinum Compact as an accessory. With the LEHMANN, the cast iron comes from the factory, and at 46.8 cm wide, its grate is the larger one.

Does the LEHMANN fit on a small balcony?

In terms of space, often yes; in terms of the rules, you have to clarify that yourself. With the shelves unfolded, it needs around one metre of width on a load-bearing surface, plus space for the gas bottle. Whether gas is allowed on your balcony is decided by your tenancy agreement, house rules or owners’ association.

The Amazon title explicitly advertises the device as a balcony grill. We did not find set-up rules from Lehmann, that is, distances to combustible materials, notes on roofing or on where to put the bottle, and we do not make any up. What generally applies to gas grills on balconies and how house rules usually regulate it is explained in our guide Grilling on a balcony.

Two practical points follow directly from the construction. The base must carry the weight of the device plus the food and must not wobble when you pull on the lid handle. A light aluminium folding camping table is not automatically suitable for this. And the bottle stands next to the table instead of in a cabinet, because the tabletop grill has none.

What the manufacturer does not state

For this grill the list is longer than usual, and it concerns exactly the points that matter with gas. Neither the Amazon listing nor lehmann.pl states:

  • the output of the burners in kW and the gas consumption in g/h,
  • gas type (propane, butane) and operating pressure, that is, whether a 50 mbar regulator fits,
  • what is in the connection set, above all whether a pressure regulator is included and how much hose,
  • whether the two burners can be controlled separately and how they are built,
  • an ignition safety device or flame supervision by thermocouple,
  • the material of the housing, lid, burners, burner trough and shelves,
  • whether the cast grate is enamelled,
  • a heat-up time,
  • the dimensions of the shelves, the height under the lid and the dimension with the shelves folded,
  • a warming rack,
  • warranty terms and a warranty provider in Germany,
  • spare parts specifically for this model,
  • CE marking or the EN 498 standard,
  • country of production, market launch and a number of people.

In our assessment, the missing output weighs heaviest. Without a kW figure, the LEHMANN cannot be compared objectively with other tabletop grills, and without a pressure figure you do not know for certain which regulator you need if none is in the connection set. The temperature range from the description helps little here. It says which range the seller promises, but not how much gas the burners burn per hour.

Three alternatives we compared it with

Model The difference Price Our rating Choose this one if
LEHMANN tabletop gas grill 2 burners (this one) Cast grate 46.8 × 35 cm and two folding shelves, but no gas data approx. €130 7.7 you want a lot of grate and shelf space and will clarify gas type and regulator yourself
tepro Chicago 2-burner lighter, stainless steel grate, gas hose and regulator included approx. €121 8.0 you carry the grill often and want everything for connecting in the box
TAINO Platinum Compact tabletop grill Stainless steel body, gas data and standards documented in the manual approx. €150 7.9 documented gas data matter more to you than grate area and shelves
Broil King Regal 590 Grill cart with 5 main burners, side burner and base cabinet for the bottle approx. €1,649 9.4 you regularly grill for large groups in the garden and have the space and budget for it

The prices come from our price box and change. The rating is our editorial assessment based on the manufacturer data; we did not measure anything on any of the four devices. The Broil King is in the table as a counterpoint, in case you notice while reading that you are actually looking for a grill cart.

When the LEHMANN fits and when another one does

In price, the three tabletop grills lie between approx. €121 and approx. €150: the LEHMANN is in the price box at approx. €130, the tepro Chicago at approx. €121, the TAINO Platinum Compact at approx. €150. The decision also comes down to other points.

First, weight. If you regularly carry the grill from the cellar to the car and from the car park to the pitch, you notice every kilo. According to the catalogue, the LEHMANN is the heaviest of the three; tepro gives approx. 8.5 kg for the Chicago, TAINO approx. 10 kg for the Platinum Compact. For a fixed spot on the balcony this does not matter, for a camping holiday it does.

Second, documentation. If you want to know before ordering which bottle and which regulator you will run the grill with, you get that answer from the manual with the TAINO and from the instructions with the tepro. With the LEHMANN, you get it only once the box is open or the retailer replies. We would not recommend that to anyone connecting a gas grill for the first time.

Third, the size of the food. The LEHMANN has a clearly larger grate than the TAINO and about the area of the tepro Chicago, plus it is the only one of the three with two folding shelves for plates and tongs. If you grill for two or three people and do not want to work in walkways, that speaks for it. If eight guests come regularly, in our assessment none of the three is enough, and a grill cart such as the Broil King Regal 590 belongs on the list.

Fourth, whether you want to cook indirectly. Whole chicken legs or a thick piece of pork need a switched-off burner under the meat and a running one beside it. If that matters to you, take a device where separate control is documented.

With the LEHMANN, the budget should also include a gas bottle, which is not mentioned in the description, and possibly a pressure regulator. Which bottle sizes exist and where you exchange them is covered in the guide Gas bottle for the grill.

Cleaning, gas connection and safety without a manual

There is no manual online, and that is why no sentence in this section begins with “according to the manufacturer”. What follows are general rules that apply to every gas grill.

As a basic rule: every time you connect the bottle, you check the connections with leak-detection spray or soapy water. If bubbles rise, a spot is leaking, and the grill stays off until it is tight. You operate gas grills outdoors. You choose the regulator to match the gas type and pressure for which the device is approved; because exactly this information is open here, we would ask the retailer for it before connecting for the first time.

You empty the removable grease tray after it has cooled down, before much grease collects there, because accumulated grease in the collection tray can ignite. For the cast grate, what is said above in the detail section on care applies. How to clean the grate, burner area and grease trough in general is shown in our guide Cleaning a gas grill.

What an hour of grilling costs in gas, we cannot calculate, because the consumption is missing. With the comparison devices that works, with the LEHMANN it does not.

Who is it suitable for?

The seller writes that the grill is easy to transport and ready for use in a few steps, and that the feet are supposed to give a secure stand. The second part can be understood from the construction: there is nothing to assemble except the gas connection. “Easy” we read as relative, for the heaviest tabletop grill in our comparison.

In our assessment, the LEHMANN is suitable for someone who has a fixed spot on a terrace or balcony, likes grilling on cast iron and is prepared to clarify gas type and regulator before first use. It is the wrong choice for campers who carry their grill a long way, and for anyone who wants to see in black and white before buying what output and what pressure their device has.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about LEHMANN Tischgasgrill 2 Brenner

Short, clear answers about buying, using and caring for LEHMANN Tischgasgrill 2 Brenner.

How much power do the burners of the LEHMANN tabletop gas grill have?

No kW figure appears in the Amazon listing or on lehmann.pl. The comparison models help with placing it: tepro gives a maximum of 6.0 kW and a gas consumption of 437 g/h for the Chicago 2-burner, and TAINO gives 4.4 kW and 321 g/h for the Platinum Compact. Where the LEHMANN falls within this range cannot be said without a data sheet, not even from the temperature range in the product description.

Which pressure regulator do I need for the LEHMANN?

That is open, because gas type and operating pressure are missing and the contents of the supplied connection set are not described. Both comparison devices in the tabletop format, the tepro Chicago and the TAINO Platinum Compact, are designed for 50 mbar according to the manufacturer. TAINO even sells its single unit without a regulator and hose and offers a set with a 50 mbar regulator separately. We would ask the retailer for the LEHMANN's rating plate before buying a regulator.

Is there a German instruction manual?

According to the Amazon catalogue, the documents come in English, German, French and Italian. You cannot download them: on its page for manuals, Lehmann offers to send them by email on request. Because the safety and connection instructions appear only in this booklet, we would keep it after unpacking and not throw it out with the box.

Where do I get spare parts and service for the LGAGG-4147?

Lehmann itself is responsible, and according to the company website the brand's service centre is in Poland. The brand advertises full availability of spare parts in general terms, but we did not find a parts list specifically for this model covering the grate, burner or grease tray. We do not treat the warranty field in the Amazon catalogue as a commitment, because its terms are unknown and Lehmann publishes no warranty terms online.

How many people is the grate big enough for?

Lehmann does not state a number of people, so only the area can be compared. The cast grate is larger than the stainless steel grate of the TAINO Platinum Compact, which works out at around 1287 cm², and about as large as that of the tepro Chicago, which tepro gives as approx. 47.5 × 35 cm. The main grate of the Broil King Regal 590 measures 4032 cm², almost two and a half times as much. In our assessment, that is the more suitable size for family gatherings.

Can I grill indirectly with the LEHMANN?

It is possible, but not documented. Two control knobs suggest one control per burner, but Lehmann does not describe separate control or indirect cooking. TAINO explicitly states for the Platinum Compact that each burner can be lit individually and that indirect grilling works. Indirect means: one burner off with the food over it, the other burner on and the lid closed, so that hot air cooks the food instead of direct flame.

Does the LEHMANN really reach 500 °C?

We have not measured this ourselves; the figure comes from the seller. It describes a control range starting at 0 °C, and even this lower limit shows that it should not be taken literally: with the burners turned off, the grill is at ambient temperature. A lid thermometer also generally shows the air temperature under the lid, while the grate bars directly above the flame get hotter.

Is a cover included?

Not according to the description, which names only a connection set as the contents of the package. Lehmann also does not name a matching cover model, because there is no product page for this tabletop grill. If you buy a universal cover, measure the grill yourself with the side tables folded, because the catalogue dimension does not reveal in which state it was measured. Put the cover on only once the grill has cooled down.
